Bay Retreat- Moments from Hamworthy Park

We were in Poole for a sailing event at Poole Yacht Club so the apartment couldn't have been closer. It was remarkably quiet at night and had the benefit of a small outside space for drying sailing gear.

All the key codes were very confusing and actually stressful.

The staff at Quay Holidays were very helpful, they also recommended A local place where we could get a new battery on our vehicle when our battery failed! The accomodation was well maintained and clean and had everything we needed.

We didn't like the directions which were confusing. I think they said something like enter Norton Rd, turn right and go to the end. However the entry to the car park was half way. The gate had a keypad on it so we didn't think it was the right entry until a resident told us to igniore the keypad and press the left button on the dongle. We spent about 10 to 15 mins trying to find the way into the carpark😥 We didn't like the fact the entrance was in the car park, it felt like a ghetto. The apartment itself seemed quite dark. There was no seaview from the balcony and a busy footpath ran by outside allowing passers by to look in as there were no net curtains. I was taking part in a sailing event at Poole Yacht Club so luckily we didn't spend much time in the apartment which would have been depressing. I would recommend providing a short video showing how to enter the car park and locate entry to the apartment. We would not stay at this apartment again. In our opinion it was not good value for money because of the ground floor location.
