Best homestay for the price!

One fo the cleanest properties I have stayed in Bali!!!

I can't say I didn't like anything as the price is amazing for what you get. The one slight thing is it's about 100 meters off main road (and, FOR ME) I didn't like walking at dark down the road with my daughter....especially with luggage. Did this deter us? NO, in fact we booked several times.

An amazing homestay, by far the best we visited during our 3-week trip to Indonesia. Located very centrally, in a beautiful yard. Very clean and pleasant rooms - plus delicious breakfast. It cannot get any better in Ubud, believe me!

Good for backpackers, not for leisure travellers

Sampo, the owner and the support staff were very helpful. Overall the location is right in the middle of Ubud. The monkey forest and Ubud palace are 15 minutes away in opposite directions once you come out on the main road. There's an Indian restaurant right in front of the alley called Punjab Grill.

This homestay is strictly for backpackers. It's inside an alley where car can't reach so if you have heavy bags (like we did), you should look for other properties else you will have to drag your bags for some 250 meters on a stone path. The room was simple and had most things one would need but some small things need improvement. The door lock of the room wasn't working from the inside so we had to use the key to open the door. The room had only one mirror which was in the bathroom, so if someone was in the bathroom, another person can't get ready because there is no other mirror. The room didn't have universal travel sockets. It had usual Indonesian sockets. Luckily I had a multi socket with pins long enough that could fit and managed with it. On the day of checkout I found out there was an adaptor kept in the drawer. It should either have been attached already or should have been mentioned when we checked in. Minor thing but matters when you are travelling. Breakfast was simple. Didn't have options but this is not a hotel so no complaints there. Overall, a budget friendly accommodation for backpackers, however the entire area is full of homestays, some are on the main road itself and some even have swimming pools so check out other options as well.

The host refused reasonable requests, which forced me to leave early.

Although I rarely write negative reviews, I feel compelled to share my experience. Initially, the host appeared amiable, but soon became rigid and transactional. Before making any request, they informed me, “This is not a hotel.” My polite messages were frequently delayed or disregarded. The homestay has a two-day schedule for room cleaning and towel replacement, but this was never communicated to me. During the initial cleaning, only one towel was replaced. I politely requested the second towel, and the host agreed, yet it was only replaced the following day, already exceeding the schedule. I reasonably anticipated both towels to be replaced during the next cleaning, but none were. When I requested only one towel to be replaced, the host repeatedly refused and emphasized operational costs, even for a single towel, which was quite uncomfortable. To preserve my peace of mind, I left the accommodation early, forfeiting nights of the room fee. Guests who value respect and responsiveness should consider alternative accommodations.

Lovely stay in a friendly family homestay in a peaceful setting in the heart of Ubud.

ThreeWin Homestay is a wonderful place to stay in Ubud! From the moment I booked the communications with Sampo were friendly and helpful, and his daughter was so lovely when I arrived too. The room itself was perfect - a good size, lovely peaceful balcony surrounded by trees and beautiful buildings, working aircon, comfy bed, and great shower with hot water. The homestay was only a few minutes walk from shops, restaurants and the monkey forest, but down a quiet little street which felt like a little oasis of calm, and there was no noise at night. A delicious breakfast was served to your room at the time you chose (between 7:30-10), and they helped me organise an airport transfer too. Everything was done with a smile, and I'd definitely stay here again if I come back to Ubud - I was disappointed I couldn't stay longer, but had to fly home!

During the 8 days I was in this room, I can say that the breakfast (UMLET) is good, but not that much, and the location is good. And it has a big room... and it is clean.

,But the towels, I had my own, the cleaning supplies were my own, the room just needed a trash can, and the bed sheet and blanket cover had to be changed every 2 days.

Home away from home.

ThreeWin is conveniently located in the heart of Ubud center and is easily accessible by motorbike. The room was clean, with amazing breakfast served daily, fresh drinking water and hot water in the shower. The host greeted me with a hug and a smile and made me feel right at home. I was able to practice yoga right outside on my deck and I enjoyed the peace and quiet at this property. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway, do not hesitate to stop by ThreeWin!

Overall, a pleasant stay with a friendly host, but the room fell short in terms of condition.

First and foremost, I want to highlight the host, Sampo, for being exceptionally cool and kind. The location of the guest house is quite favorable, allowing for convenient exploration of the city center on foot. The breakfast was delicious, and there was this incredibly helpful and always smiling staff member (unfortunately, his name slipped my mind).

The room's floor was completely untiled, so the tiles would move around and make a ruckus as we walked. Sampo kindly offered us the option to cancel our booking, but unfortunately, alternative guest houses were fully booked, leaving us with limited choices. It would have been preferable if we had been informed in advance about the room's condition rather than discovering it upon check-in. I must admit to feeling disappointed and let down because of this.

I’ve spent 5 nights at ThreeWin Homestay and I recommend it.

My room on the first floor was very clean, spacious, well furnished, with a lovely balcony where I was served a good breakfast every morning. Bed and pillows are comfortable. AC working very well. Fridge and kettle in the room. Good natural and artificial lighting. Quiet place, but close to everything you might need. As a female solo traveler I have felt very safe there. The host Sampo and his daughter are so very kind and helpful, really lovely people.

Communication with staff was inconsistent/unreliable during the stay. The towels were stained and not changed during our 3-night stay, and no drinking water was provided after the first day.

Best value for money, family owned, authentical, quiet, everything you need

Cozy family owned homestay with best value for money. Sampo and his 3 children run the place and they live on the same property as well. Located in a side street in the center of Ubud and very quiet. Rooms are simple, but very clean and have everything you need with a small terrace in front of your room where you can sit and have breakfast. Bed and pillows are comfy, mattress more hard than soft. Breakfast simple and delicious and work for gluten intolerant people: omelette with tomato and garlic + 3 toasts if you wish, coffee and fresh papaya juice. Sampo offers to make a tour with you around Ubud by car in case you are interested. We really enjoyed it. Value for money unbeatable. Would always come back. 100% 👍🏽

Very clean room and it was more like entering a hotel room than a homestay. the room had such a nice setup with even flowers on the bed and in the bathroom. All staff were super friendly and made you feel really welcome and I had the best omelette I ever tried for breakfast.

We loved ThreeWinn! Such a privilege to stay with a Balinese family and experience their kind open hearted nature. The family has 2 children and as I was travelling with my kids, it was a huge bonus. We felt like family by the time we left and will definitely be back every time we visit Bali. The rooms are huge and lovely and we loved being on the top floor and seeing the community around us. Please stay here whenever visiting Ubud. It's magical to be beyond the main road inside the daily lives of this very special family! Thank you so much Sampo, Winda and Windu!!
