Unfortunately disappointing. I left 3 nights earlier than I had booked :(

Staff on site were lovely, breakfast was nice, clean pool, good location.

Tried two villas, but both smelled very damp and mouldy. I got sick, unfortunately. Pillows and curtains had mould on them, cupboards smelled like rotting timber, bedding was damp and cold every day after I got home from a day out. There was no restaurant onsite perse, and they didn't always have what was offered on the menu (ie. fish or spaghetti). Sliding doors do not close properly to keep out mosquitos. The hot water runs out before bath tub reaches your shins. Banging noises at night and animal in the roof. I had to cut my stay short. I couldn't sleep. I was allergic to the villa. Wayan was lovely and helpful, as was Kadek. Owner needs to thoroughly and regularly clean the villas and waterproof them. :(

The staff were exceptional & nothing was too much trouble, the property was extremely clean, good breakfast, quiet area, and an easy walk into town. The pool & outdoor area was clean & peaceful overlooking the forest & their restaurant food was also great. Excellent value !!

The shower water pressure was a challenge but not sure if that is everywhere as this was my first time in Bali. I would also recommend more lighting over the mirror area & softer pillows :) .

Amazing villa with super staff!

Staff were nice and attentive. Accomodation was clean. Location was good - not too central but still in easy walking distance from the market/palace. Breakfast was yummy. 24/hr check in was great considering our late arrival.

Our rooms was right next to reception (metres away) and so we were a little concerned about privacy.

Very disappointing to be moved away from the remainder of our family to an unfinished villa.

We booked at this villa as it was directly across the road from our family staying at Ashanti Villa and when we arrived were informed our two booked rooms were not available and were transferred to the Baruna Sari Jungle View property about 800m further out of town. Construction of this Jungle View property was only around 60 percent complete.

Great location, the pool is amazing and deep, friendly staff!

Great location, very quiet, having the private pool to cool down with was amazing! They also have a laundry service. The fridge was handy, as you can store snacks - and it’s a quick bike ride to the supermarket Delta Dewata (which has everything you could possibly need). There wasn’t gas in the stove, so you might need to ask if you want to cook, but with so much yum food around you won’t need to.

There is construction going on next door, but they’ve put up privacy curtains so they can’t see into the pool. But you’ll have to get used to the noise. The TV isn’t a smart TV, so if you like to wind down with Netflix, that isn’t an option.

Breakfast was good and always cooked the way you liked. Good location and very close to shops and restaurants. There is a bit of building going on but not too much noise.Quiet at night.

Great place for family / friends gateaway

The family villa is beautiful, and very comfortable. The breakfast was great with different options. We were with our kids, 9 and 11, and they loved it. The private pool is definitely a big plus to relax at the end of a day of visits. The view on the jungle is beautiful. It was extremely quiet, so the perfect place to relax. I was worried about mosquitoes but the staff is handling it pretty well with incense, we did not get any bites. You can walk from the hotel to Ubud market, the Sacred Monkey Forest, many restaurants and bars.

Amazing throughout

the Villa was beautiful with an amazing garden with stunning view. Our driver for our tours was so lovely and really gave his best!! Highlight of service. Other villa staff were lovely as well. Breakfast was great and we can't wait to come back!

It was our first time to Indonesia and Ubud is a very nice place to stay. many things to do.

The staffs were great, excellent service. Putu, ketut, kedek and Made were a top notch service. they went above and beyond. Putu pick us up at the airport at midnight and waited for us untill 1:30am because of all the immigrations stuff to take care of. He was nice and always happy when we talked to him and he gave us a ride to go to our ATV ride adventure destination the next day. Our breakfasts were deliscuios. The room was clean, very spacous. the bathroom was okay, because I preffer bright lights in the bathroom. The area of the property is close to the main street. a lot shops, cafe and restaurants nearby. Overall, we are happy to stayed at the property. We highly recommended to anyone who is visiting Ubud for the first time.

Great location

We arrived a day earlier that I originally booked. They helped and organised for a room for 1 night. We got motorbikes from there and breakfast was always nice. The double spa in our small villa was great!! It was my first time in ubud and it’s too hectic, the best thing we did was get motorbikes and to mount batur and sideman!!

Not what we expected.

My husband and I booked this villa for 4 nights for our babymoon but upon arrival we decided to leave immediately as the villa wasn't up to standard. The owner was nice enough to refund 50 percent of what we paid so that was appreciated.

The villa smelled of stale cigarettes, the pool was mouldy and there were some stains on the bed sheets. Additionally there were mosquitos in the bedroom. Being pregnant I couldn't stand sleeping in the cigarette smell and decided to stay somewhere else.

Clean, staff come and clean the villa when your not there every day, fresh juice and fruit with breakfast every morning, extremely friendly staff that is around a lot of the time. Bed was so comfortable and aircon was perfect on hot days! The pool was deeper than expected we loved it! Also beautiful gardens make it feel like you are in paradise! Close to shops and restaurants in ubud!

The power went out 3 times in one day. We booked a 3 bedroom Villa but did not know that it would be two separate villas. Did not feel safe with our 16yo daughter in separate villa. Lighting is a bit dim, felt gloomy. Drilling and hammering next door. Lobby was a bit messy and leaking roof in the rain.

The Villa is lovely and the staff and nice and helpful however the way the property is advertised is not the case.

The villa was new and clean. Staff serviced room daily. Central location. Staff were lovely.

The Villa we booked and paid for via booking.com was later given to someone else and upon arrival we were relocated to one of the new Villa’s which was great until we were told it was at a different location and not at the resort. We originally booked a different Villa about 2kms out but cancelled and choose this resort based on its location and facilities as per the information provided on booking.com. The entire stay we did not have access to any of the resort facilities or the resort. For example, the yoga and fitness centre does not exist and half of the room appliances/items were not provided. During our stay we also experienced a lot of noise during the day and night. They are currently renovating/building an admin area directly in front of the new villa’s and the noise from the water and Airconditioning wakes you up at night. I also found the staff would frequent the Villa too often. I was sleeping and woke up to one of them in the back yard looking to see if we were home and another time I had gotten out of the shower, walked into the bedroom naked and one of them was were there again. They enter via the back yard anytime, which I was uncomfortable with. This is meant to be a private Villa.

The quality for the price was not there. The mattress could not be slept on, not enough hot water to fill the tub even 1/4, the kitchen sink handle fell off, the breakfast wasn't great, and the wifi went in and out. A lovely oasis from busy Ubud life

The pool in our 2 bed villa was great after busy days Breakfast in our villa served by the staff to order was lovely Location is so central, yet you cannot hear any noise from the main Street.

There is no gym despite this being included in the facilities. Also this is not a yoga place. One of our toilets did not flush first time and the Wifi was extremely patchy even after it was rebooted.

Wonderful villa in heart of Ubud

Pool in two bedroom villa was awesome and outside dining great… rooms are lovely and large with great bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Walking distance to town is about 10 mins and they organised a great driver for the day.

A sanctuary amongst the Ubud chaos!!

The Baruna Sari villa was everything we could have asked for and more. A little Oasis just far enough off the main Ubud road so you cannot hear the traffic but close enough to walk to central Ubud in less than 10 minutes. It was our own little sanctuary for my wife and I and our 2 year old. The staff were excellent. Very attentive, polite and good natured. They always had time to say hello to us and our toddler. The villa was kept very clean with a turndown service in the evening. The laundry service was excellent too. A bag of laundry dropped off in the evening was washed and dried by the next afternoon. We highly recommend this as a destination in Ubud. Thank you Baruna Sari Staff for a very enjoyable stay. 😀

The new villas are excellent 👍

We liked that we got to stay in their new villa that has only opened recently. The bed was comfortable and it had a good sized fridge (Not one of those mini bar fridges) only about 6 minutes walk to central Ubud so not too far from restaurants. The street where our villa was is quiet and well back off the road. Currently they are building additional villas beside where we stayed, but it was not noisy and did not bother us. The breakfast was good with a reasonable choice of menu. The staff are all excellent and made us feel very welcome. You can order dinner via the reception if you want to stay in. A very good supply of fresh drinking water on hand. Plenty of towels and hand clothes replaced every day with extra ones for the pool. I would recommend staying here.

Being new there were a few minor issues. 1 they have a bathroom basin with a mirror but very poor lighting and no soap dish. The only place to have breakfast is outside on the patio which is open to the weather. When it rains in the morning there is no cover while you eat. The patio step from the bedroom to the patio is for the young and healthy. It needs 2 to 3 steps instead of just the one very high step up. For some you need to be careful after rain as the patio can be slippery. No beer or wine glasses. No doubt a lot of things can be easily fixed as the owners work through the needs of the villas. The one thing all you have to do is ask the staff and they will ALWAYS help where they can.
