Alas Petulu Villa Resort and Spa

The rooms were a great size (we stayed in the family suite - 2 bedrooms) and had everything we needed. Very clean. Had fridge, microwave and endless bottled water. Breakfast was delicious with many options.

Further from the main centre than I would have liked but still well located.

The staff were very attentive and responsive. I was ill for some of our stay and they were great at accommodating our needs. The grounds are beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the pool area (once I was better). It is also very central, near lots of great restaurants. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was also really nice having a bath in the room. There is a fridge to keep water cool. The Aircon and WiFi worked great. It was one of the best places we stayed throughout our holiday and we would definitely return.

A couple of minor things. We did find it a little odd they did construction on site, right next to the breakfast area, during the couple of hours that the restaurant was open in the morning, as it was quite disruptive to the peaceful jungle setting and it seemed to stop when breakfast finished. Second- bring bug spray and /or plug in repellent. The mosquito net around the bed had a gap at the bottom, so my partner did unfortunately get bitten during the night.

Everything. Rooms were very spacious, comfortable and clean with all amenities provided to the highest standard. Location is excellent and huge advantage as it is only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Ubud’s main town, as traffic around Ubud can get very congested so the walkable nature of the property was excellent. Despite the location being close to the main town, the property still felt like that Ubud rainforest retreat and was a quiet escape in nature, with spectacular views around. Hotel has a few pools and were excellent to use.

Nil.

I loved this beautiful property. The space in the rooms, the grounds, the staff. I have gone to Bali over 20 times from my perspective this is my perfect stay.
