Alas Petulu Villa Resort and Spa

We stayed in the private pool villa for 3 nights . This hotel Is a family run business. It is simple, quiet and very comfortable. Our pool villa was the older of the villas. But I wouldn’t have swapped it. It was gorgeous. Our room was huge, including a large lounge area and super comfy bed. The private garden, outdoor kitchen, lounge and pool was perfect for our needs. Breakfast cooked each morning was simple Bali style eggs and toast. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Brilliant location, on the road that leads directly to the Tagalong rice terraces.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Alas Petula Villa. It was quiet and serene, and the gardens are lush and beautiful. And yet the Villas are close to a lot of central Ubud. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

There are lots of stairs for a few of the villas, and they do warn of these prior to your stay, but I think that some well placed handrails on the steeper steps would be immensely helpful.

I loved the location, within walking distance to markets, shops and other key attractions

Reception often unstaffed, and I don’t think the venue had any security

We stayed there for around 5 days, and we had a great time. The property is very close to the city centre but a little away from the noise. Amanda was a delight and helped us with a lot of great restaurant recommendations and activities. Overall, we had a relaxing time. Would definitely recommend staying here!
