Homayoon Private Villa Ubud

Very Authentic Balinese Villas. Big open spaces & private from outside. Staff super friendly and responsive. Delightful breakfast brought each day for modest price.

We booked two villas, but they weren’t adjacent due to beds. That was not obvious on making the booking. The two bed villa had what seems like an outside bathroom. Women are generally not comfortable with this - even though it was protected. There are perpetually a band of 3-5 taxi drivers sitting 5 meters away from the villa entrance. All day and all night. Women would not like this. Despite it being very close to town, walking to town was not really an option. The absence of footpaths made walking treacherous and dangerous with the heavy traffic.

Having our own private pool overlooking the forest made for an incredibly peaceful and private getaway, with only the soothing sounds of nature in the background.

The kitchen does not contain any cookware or utensils; it is equipped only with a small bar fridge and a chilled filtered water dispenser. Additionally, while each bedroom features tea and coffee-making facilities and two glasses, the villa itself is showing some wear and tear and could use some maintenance in both the rooms and the pool area.

I came back here after 4 years because it was my little secret plc in ubud and it was disappointing. The place gotten so tired. Several broken pieces of the floor. The bed felt sticky. The curtain around the bed has many stains on it. We arrived and there was 1 humongous worm on the wall next to the bath and one in the bath. This place isn’t for everyone. It’s located in the area of many tree which made it special, however, the number of bugs and insects you need to deal with is uncountable. There’s constantly ant or some kind of bug in the room. There must be a rat or lizard on the roof which made lots of noise. Also the pool pump was running all night which made it super noisy. Hard to sleep. This review isn’t to attack the accomodation. 8 came back because I loved it so much. However, the plc need some work/ renovation.
