I would highly recommend The Bali Shanti!!

Friendly staff were visible and as a solo traveller it was a safe and secure environment. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Room cleaning available daily. Breakfast was great - 2 eggs, pancake, fresh fruit and great coffee. Pool was a bonus. Great air con and block out curtains. 😊👍

Room was lovely but there could be more attention to cleaning detail - eg glass bathroom door.

Love the hotel!

I had a wonderful stay at The Bali Shanti. The room was very specious with modern décor and private. The delicious pancake breakfast with the stunning garden and forest views was special. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was great, within walking distance to the main shopping area and with a few local shops nearby. It was a great escape from the Bali's hustle- bustle. It was the perfect place to enjoy read and tranquillity.

I asked to store my luggage until departure, when I went to collect it, there was no staff at the hotel area. I hadn't heard that there would be no staff in the afternoon. I understand that it's safe, but I was hesitant to enter the staff room when no one was there. Luckily, I found a staff in another area and was able to collect my luggage.

It was a very nice place, the bathrooms were all indoors and the doors locked, and I was provided with towels and waters and breakfast. The staff were also amazing. I was new to traveling solo and they helped by providing rides to places and suggestions of things to do. It was also close to everything. I could walk to Ubud palace and various shops and restaurants no problem.

Good, but would not go again :( Everynight I was not looking forward to going back to our suite.

Honestly, I don’t want to say anything bad, because the staff is SO FRIENDLY! Breakfast for us was average, good for the price. BUT the staff was VERY friendly, had good recommendations, they would clean the rooms every day and change the towels. They are really trying their best and even tidy up our stuff with no intruding our privacy. Location is also great (near the centre). We had absolutely no trouble with mosquitos though (August). Just some noise at night from birds and frogs.

However the room (in our case the suite) has some downs: ants, easy entrance for gekkos😅, special smell that stayed on our clothes and something was running on the roof the first night (I think the staff fixed the situation as soon as we told them). The room is also pretty humid. Also the pool was not the cleanest (water was pretty okay, but the tiles were a bit dirty). P. S.: If you are scared of frogs and don’t want to walk past them after sunset, maybe don’t choose The Bali Shanti Suite or a room near pool. :) Breakfast is available from 8, so we skipped it most days becouse we had booked early activities.

Wonderful place

I liked it very much. It is a place where you are surrounded by nature, you have peace, and at the same time, you are close to the important attractions of the city. The pool is wonderful where you can relax after a busy day. The staff is very friendly.

Good location, but be careful from mould

Location was good, walking to the town but quiet Staff was nice Room was spacious and very big verandah

Mould was a huge problem. When we entered the room for the first time, strong mould smell hit us. We told them and they said they would clean the room, but no result. We were too tired to change the hotel and staff was so nice, we just tried to minimise the time in the room. After 2 nights, both of us developed mould symptoms (thore throat,running nose,red and watery eyes and feeling unwel). The verandah was huge, but the couch, cusions, walls etc all covered with mould, we couldn’t use them. We left the hotel and 2 days later, we recovered.

A peaceful and authentic Balinese retreat with amazing service and nature all around.

The place is calm, clean, and surrounded by nature — perfect for relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was comfortable and beautifully designed in Balinese style. The pool area was a peaceful spot to unwind after exploring Ubud.

Location is perfect as it's close to the shops and yet so quiet. The room itself was so spacious and clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall my stay was fantastic for the price and I'll come here again.

A beautiful oasis in the middle of busy Ubud

We loved the location and the beautiful lush garden outlook from every villa. It’s a little oasis in the middle of Ubud. Every staff member was absolutely lovely and attentive. The rooms are well equipped and very clean. Very good value for money! A lovely simple breakfast was served every day on your balcony. Highly recommended

Bali Shanti, quiet, clean, wonderful.

Bali Shanti was in a quiet area, with the room and large balcony looking out onto forest. It is only a 5min walk to the main road and another 5mins to the centre of Ubud. I walked everywhere, easy. The pool area was very nice too. I planned activities for the mornings and relaxed by the pool in the afternoon. I would go out again in the evenings and never felt nervous walking alone. All the staff are lovely. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast each morning. Room serviced every day. Pool and gardens well maintained. Yoga was the driver and collected me from the airport, took me on a tour and later transported me to Padang Bai. Reliable, safe, good English and great sense of humour. If you love birds and nature you will love it here. I would definately stay here again.

Oasis in bustling Ubud

Really nice, spacious room with attached bathroom and balcony. Bed was really comfy, a/c and wifi worked really well, and the balcony overlooks a lovely leafy garden. Starting the day with breakfast overlooking the tranquil garden and pool while watching the swifts swooping was a real treat. Considering you're just a hundred metres or so back from a fairly busy street it's amazing how quiet and relaxing the place is. Location is great, just a short (1km) walk (or Gojek ride) from Ubud Palace and central Ubud. Staff were friendly and helpful, and were happy to organise onward travel for a good price.

Hot water was a bit inconsistent, even after the gas was changed, but it was so hot that wasn't really a problem :-)

Lovely but we are not cut out for the jungle life!

The hotel was lovely and the staff incredible!! They were so kind and always cleaning. They left a ‘happy anniversary’ on our bed as my birthday is coming up which was lovely! Thank you for our stay :)

Although, on our first night there was an army infestation of ants in our room and a massive cockroach! We bought some insect killer the next day and we didn’t have a problem since but it gave us quite a fright on our first night! Then, breakfast was okay but not very many options - just 2 eggs or a pancake but it did the job and that’s what counts.

The property definitely exceeded my expectations! - Excellent value for money (I stayed in a 4* hotel just before and Bali Shanti with the 3* stars was definitely better) - Great location (super close to the main streets yet located next to the river and literally in a jungle) - Nice spacious and very light room, clean, a lot of storage space, amazing view from my porch/balcony (I literally did not want to move from the porch), not at all noisy - Above and beyond service and super friendly and helpful staff (I broke the shower holder on the first day after checking in and they fixed it on the same day and did not even want to hear when I offered to pay for it; also helped me with a cheaper taxi to move to my next accommodation) - Good internet - Just as on the pictures I stayed for 4 nights and would have gladly extended for another three nights but sadly it was booked up on the following dates =((

tranquil and relaxing

Beautiful setting among lush trees. The staff are wonderful, friendly and offer great service. The location is a couple of minutes to the main street of Ubud which is convenient but it is also very tranquil. Breakfast on your villa balcony is lovely. Perfect.

Not so Deluxe Villa

Nice room, big bed, not to far from city center. The place is quite and has nice Garden, where you can enjoy Jungle sounds, not the city rush. Nice breakfast is brought in front of the room.

Front door - there is a gap (easily fixable) through which some massive lizards (~30cm lenght) came in at night and scared us a lot. But the staff was very helpful, they came and got them away. Bathroom is not clean, both the toilet and bathroom walls (maybe that is the reason why the lighting is very poor in bathroom). Shower impossible to adjust to comfotable temperature. Only cold or hot possible. Rattling ventilation fan. Super humid room - blankets, pillows and ect was humid, not very pleasant to sleep in.

Ubud...now is staying in my memories like stressful place because of this hotel Staff are nice, but its looks like they doesn't care, to solve any issues you faced with. I had late check out... any they keeped my laggage (they doesn't have storage room) in reception not even toilet...they sent me to staff tiolet which was disgusting.

Banana pancake was good!

Bathroom sliding door was a bit broken and no curtains. So no privacy when you go to the toilet! The couch on the terrace was overlooking the reception so not much privacy there either.

расположен в самом центре, в 150 метрах от центральной улицы, но на тихой улице, шума нет. Есть бассейн. В номере красивая терасса с растениями, на терассе есть стол и диван. Завтраки приносят на терассу. Завтраки обычные без изысков- выбор из двух вариантов, но сытные. Номеров немного. Наш номер вилла с видом на сад. За отелем обрыв и река шумит. Очень красивый вид. Есть средство от комаров -спираль для улицы, мыло, шампунь, фен, полотенца, чайник, вода, чай, кофе.
