Paid $900 aud for 6 days & only stayed 3 it was so bad for the money

Privacy

No jug to boil water, had to ask. Kitchen with 1 cup, 1 spoon, 1 plate & 2 plastic forks. Stove & fridge but nothing to cook with. No coffee or sugar. No bath mats & tile’s slippery. Pool tiles green algae. Outdoor shower overgrown with plant & pavers green slim. They don’t change towels & they smell terrible. Only 2 bottles of water on first day, asked for more a couple of days later & didn’t receive. Staff poor English. Breakfast terrible, I paid for breakfast with booking but when we went they said only 1 & have to pay for rest, appalling, I refused.

Would definitely stay again but ask for a ground level room

Bed very comfortable, room large and spacious. Great views, great location.

The staff were unable to find the key to the safe so we were unable to use it. When having a shower, as there was only a wall the entire bathroom floor got wet and was very slippery. Also the shower head needed to be cleaned as the water came out at all angles.

Good experience

We liked the Friendly and helpful behaviour of the staff members. The main advantage is it is near to the city centre so we have access to all the things in few minutes.

Bathroom need a renovation. In our room, continuous bad odour was coming probably from ventilation which needs to be fixed.

It’s not a clean hotel but the location is amazing.

The location was very good

The room was super dirty when we entered! There were spider webs every where and the sheets had stain all over them. We had to ask the staff to do a deep cleaning.

Everything was great about UBUD except for our choice of this place. Not again!

The location is close to center and walking distance to many restaurants. To reach the house you need to walk into a very narrow street not accessible by car. The staff is helpful and friendly

Dirty bathroom and not well maintained room. The kitchen was extremely dirty, after our first breakfast there , we decided not to have breakfast at the house even though we have already paid for. They didn’t change the towels and when we asked for fresh towels one of the staff mentioned that they don’t have.

Everything was extremely good and I really liked the staff.

It was close to the center. So many restaurants around. Breakfast was extremely good. The staff were really nice and helpful. The pools were clean. The property and rooms look exactly like the pictures. I enjoyed and would love to come back.

Cleanliness was okay, but they can do better. The sheets were clean but stained, so you might think they are dirty. The bathroom flooded a little bit. In short(not being biased), the place needs a woman’s touch.

Comfortable stay in Ubud!

Everything was perfect for me. The staff was very kind and helpful, they did their best to make my stay comfortable.. A quiet location, 100 m only accessible by foot or scooter, but well located, close to the center, goods restaurants, laundry... everything around. Daily cleaning and 2 bottles of water The property could be better maintained, but it is good value for money.

A great place to stay.

A lovely place to stay, beautiful garden setting, comfortable room. Breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate.

It was a little tricky to find. Down a long alleyway. If my taxi driver hadn't have lead the way asking directions I probably would have struggled to find it in the dark

Great staff, comfortable facilities for the price!

Beautiful room, pool and common areas. Comfortable patio area. Bed was decent, 4 pillows provided! A/C worked well and cooled off quickly. Shower and bathroom were a great size. Free water and room turnover provided every day. Staff was friendly and readily available.

The room got really humid when the a/c was off (especially after the rain we had). Bathroom was aging and not the cleanest. It was no problem to request new towels but they had a bad smell. The doors did not seal so bugs and geckos could get in but the bed had a mosquito net. Sheets were stained but clean. Most of the pool loungers were broken.

Amazing place to stay in Ubud

In depth honest review: Tucked away on a quiet street so you don't hear much noise from the main road which is awesome - especially since you're so close to the main part of Ubud. We stayed on the bottom floor and you also don't hear any noise from other guests staying above. The bed was king size and very comfortable for us but if you don't like firm beds then maybe you won't like. The room we had was spacious and doesn't feel cluttered with all of our bags and things out. This accommodation is walking distance to so many things in Ubud and we honestly didn't really use much transportation while staying here. Staff were very nice and accommodating and will clean/fix anything you request pretty quickly. The pool was clean and refreshing and gets a lot of sun during the day. Air conditioning was great and kept the room nice and cool all day/night. No insects or bed bugs or anything which is always good. Staff gave us 2 water bottles every day as well. Mini mart convenience store only a few minutes walk away for anything else you need. We recommend: - Breakfast at Sun De Bisma. Cheap and big portions. One of the only places open early in the morning. - Lunch / dinner at Warung Gauri - we went every day sometimes twice per day. Insanely cheap and always delicious. - Laundry place is right next door and they do a good job. With all things considered, even the parts that could be better, this accommodation offers everything you need to have a good time in Ubud. Location is 10/10 and always got a great night sleep here.

There were a few things that could be a bit better: - Towels provided didn't smell the best so maybe use your own towel if this is a huge issue for you. We still used them and it wasn't too bad just something to consider - Bathroom could be cleaner. It doesn't seem like they deep clean it often but this is not a deal breaker for us with all things considered. We just wear shower shoes but we do that everyplace we go anyways.

For a little extra effort the place could be spectacular they keep the gardens immaculate but the sheets were stained and pillow a little ripped. The place is a little tired but at this price point it is expected. Comfortable stay in the end

Staff and location were great. We were in the two bedroom villa. The downstairs room was very damp. Was hard to get to rid of even with the dehumidifier. Upstairs room was quiet and spacious and no problem with the dampness beyond what you would expect for a humid climate. Also The pool could have been cleaner.

Great place away from the bustle of Bisma

I really liked my room, in the top rear corner, I had an unimpeded view of mt Agung, and I could sit and watch the storms roll in every afternoon. Pool is wonderful, bed is very comfortable, and close to one of Ubud's BEST coffee places!

Good first connection to Bali

The property is located right in the center of Ubud, walking distance to the temple, palace and Monkey Forest.The staff was helpful and offered airport transfer for usd 35 (usual fare usd 30), due to our late arrival. Everyone in the hotel was helpful and amicable. The hotel itself is just 3 mins walk from the road in a narrow street. We booked a villa with the swimming pool. The villa itself is a 2 floor building, lots of space everywhere. Territory has lots of flowers, bushes and trees, photos are true. Ideal for those who want to live area and close to the center of Ubud.

Wi-fi didn’t work well, for 2 phones was constantly disruptive. AC is old and noisy: impossible sleep at night with AC working. Be prepared for noisy neighbors)

Awesome location and welcoming place

Location is awesome, right on Bisma with many restaurants but a little bit back in a serene quiet spot. Staff very friendly and attention to detail is good. It is also right next door to a commercial laundry place. Wifi is strong - I worked while I was here and internet never dropped out.

Gora House was a great hotel, just off the main road in Ubud. The location was perfect walking distance to all the sights of Ubud. The rooms were clean and spacious. Big comfortable double bed and great AC. The pool was also a nice addition and great to relax by.

It was very comfortable, the landscaping was lush and the pool was clean and lovely to relax and spend time in. It was close to shops, cafes and restaurants so everything was within walking distance. We were pleasantly surprised at the sense of luxury for the budget cost. Will be happy to return.

The room was dirty, spiders, insects, bad smell in the toilet…they don’t change our towels we left on the flour, no towel for hands…The breakfast was poor just one plate to choose, some fruit and coffee( a bit disgusting…). We weren’t confortable at all…
