Location was convenient for Cockermouth.
Location was good. Stone floors and blinds being closed while we were out made it cool for when we returned later in the day.
A less cluttered court yard, far too many large plants for such a small area. Plastic covering also spoilt it, made it feel too hot and restricted the air flow. Very untidy at the far end. The front of the cottage looked untidy. Blinds in the lounge were difficult to open and close. Fabric Place mats on dining table looked awful, hadn't been ironed looked like they'd seen their day.

Everything you could need in the cottage
Sofa too small for a couple retreat. No pillow protectors. Just 1 pillowcase on the pillow. Low quality pillows.. needs touching up here and there. Shelf in the shower so hight up it's nearly to the ceiling. Tape on the shower head, shower door very stiff. Window in the bathroom needs attention. No salt and pepper pots? The brown leather corner chair extremely uncomfortable. Not enough room to snuggle up on such a small sofa.

Overall, comfortable, cosy and felt like home
The cottage was very cosy and prepared for the festive period with a Christmas tree and table decorations. The kitchen was very well equipped and extremely clean. we didn’t use the garden but it would be very nice to sit out in warmer months. The instructions from the owner were very clear and helpful.

Cockermouth is a great little town with lots to do, and the cottage is the perfect base.
The location was great, 5 minutes walk from the town. The cottage was warm, traditional and relaxing, very comfortable, spotless, and exceptional value for money. The owner could not have been more helpful, and had made tremendous efforts to make the cottage covid safe.
