Centrally located, literally a 2 minute walk from town centre. Had everything needed for a short stay.
Lack of bench space meaning preparing and dishing up food could be difficult

Location superb. Cosy set up. Cracking shower!
Nothing that the host can solve but the central location means no parking. This added a layer of stress and complexity as I was there with my young child and a dog - how to orchestrate dropping bags etc without having to do multiple trips to and from the carpark? Carpark only a 5 minute walk away and only £8 for 48 hours. However, it's the only negative with this otherwise perfect base.

Cockermouth is a lovely town and the Snug is close to the centre of action. The Snug had everything we needed for our stay and was clean.
The Snug is on a narrow one-way street so there's no parking. Parking is available a 5 min walk away & near the supermarket but this costs extra.
The lounge was uncomfortable & needs replacing. The heating seems to come on at set times & not being familiar with the heating appliances meant we were either too cold or too hot. Some instructions on how to use would be helpful. The stairs are narrow and steep so we don't recommend this accommodation for over 65s or someone with mobility concerns.

Lovely flat ..so nice and relaxing .. just what you need for a chilled time away ...well equipped with everything you would have at home ..has an old world feel very charming
Stairs were a bit steep which would be difficult for an elderly couple ..the addition of a couple blinds on the stained glass would aid to privacy

The ground floor was very cold and damp and smelt very bad of damp. It was so bad I had to sleep on the floor in the lounge upstairs. In the end I came home a day early.

Snug described it perfectly. Adequate for our stay. Kitchen appliances and utensils were enough for us to use in the small space during our stay so worked really well. Close to lots of amenities in town eg high street and Lidl. Very clean and inviting despite the size.
Probably my fault for not researching properly but didn't realise there was no parking at the property until the automated message came through after booking. I then assumed it wouldn't be too difficult to arrive, unload car and find suitable parking without costing a fortune. Would have been useful to have received automated information about this with the booking and to have highlighted on the advert that there is no parking and property is on a narrow, one way street with double yellow lines and all around is restricted parking.
Sofa was rather uncomfortable!

Location was great. We slept really well. Very quiet and comfortable. Everything you need was there. A great stay. Comfortable
Bed. Lovely hot shower . Good system to get the key also .
I felt the carpets need changing as I feel they could be a trip hazard , I felt the carpet on the stairs felt loose. Plus it’s coming up at the join when you go in the bathroom. Plus I feel the window in the bathroom
by the toilet could do with a blind as you could see through it if someone was on the toilet. Also more hangers in the wardrobe would be good.

Loved the upside down lay out. It’s closeness to Main Street, although Saturday night was a bit noisy.
Noise on Saturday night . No place to unload as the street was quite busy

Loved the quirkiness of the cottage, very comfortable and great city centre location, ideal for restaurants and bars but also really close for some great walks with our dog
Sofa could have been a tad larger but on the whole we would definitely recommend it and look forward to a return visit

Excellent stay, perfect for a couple. Literally off the High Street but very quiet, couldn't jave asked for anymore, will definitely be coming back.
Nothing I didn't like, the back door was very stiff and the step into the courtyard was very slippy when stepping out due to the moss but definitely no complaints.

Lovely accommodation. Perfect for a couple.
I would prefer the matress and pillows to have protectors on them. Also, a welcome guide would be nice but these are only preferences and did not detract from our stay.
