Cosy Cottage in Cumbria, West of Lake District

Cosy Cottage is just that. It is a nice size, there was 5 of us, all adults, and we could all sit comfortably in the Lounge and around the table. The beds were really comfortable, we all slept really well. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery. Although it was warm and sunny in the day, it did turn chilly overnight, and it was nice to get up to the radiators slightly on to take off the chill in the morning.

The cottage is on a crossroads without any outdoor space, you're straight out onto the pavement. Just keep a close eye on children and dogs.

A fully-equipped house. There was everything you might need, plus more! Maps and magazines about the Lake District, board games, welcome snacks… They use eco, refillable soaps, shampoos etc., which is a very nice plus! The bathroom was spacious, everything was nice and clean. There is a combined washing machine/dryer, which we very appreciated as we stayed here in the middle of our road trip through the UK. Contactless check in and out - no need to keep a precise time of arrival which is great on a roadtrip. We stayed only for 2 nights, but I could easily imagine staying there for a week.

Property was lovely. Like home from home.

Nothing much in broughton Moore had to drive everywhere even to the local shop for milk etc… Cockermouth was lovely, Keswick and Workington also lovely. Maryport not much to do there. But still enjoyed our stay.
