Really fantastic location to get away from the hustle ans bustle.of keswick. Views were superb!

A really nice cottage In a super location, just needs a replacement in second bed room and new pots and pans. Also some

Spacious and quite location. Large wood burner.

Second bed was very uncomfortable, TV was tricky to use. All pans and saucepans were unusable as non stick all scratched which is toxic. Hand no cooking utensils and no scissors.

Such a brilliantly appointed cottage. Great views. Great kitchen utensils. Fab huge living area.

The logs that were indicated as a complimently first load were sadly not provided. Muddy footprints from garden door across living room were evident. Used a towel to clean the whole floor. Owners and Cleaners need to be informed.

Well appointed, light filled cottage which became a lovely cozy environment for chilling in the evening. Comfortable and spacious with a garden ideal for children and well behaved dogs.

Great location and the kitchen was very well equipped

Everything was great on the inside of the property but clearly there is an issue with rubbish collection. Bin day Thursday we arrived Friday to find all the bins were full. We left the following Friday and the situation had just got worse.

Superb

Very flexible accommodation, there were 5 adults and a dog for Xmas plus a couple of guests for dinner. Everything we needed was provided including an unexpected dishwasher in the well equipped kitchen. Nest heating system kept us warm with ample hot water. Wifi and TV were good. Nicely decorated for Xmas and log burner was great in the evenings after a day on the fells. Nice walks from the door, village is about a mile across muddy fields with two decent pubs. 4 mile walking trail to Keswick from the end of the road along a disused railway track.

Sofa bed was a little uncomfortable as a settee but okay to sleep on, aren't they always. Logs are expensive locally, £6 for a bag it would be nice to have a log store and make a contribution.

Cottage dated could do with lick of paint. Sofa is horrid to hard nit comfortable. The cottage should sleep 4 not 6. Been there 3 years in a row nothing changed apart from a chair and new oven

Clean cottage in an ideal location but not quite as comfy as we'd have liked

The location was really useful for exploring the lakes, and the view of Blencathra was really beautiful - in fact, with all the windows, you're never short of a view and plenty of light. It's a short drive into Keswick and a 20-30 minute walk through farmland (and over a main road) to the nearest village, Threlkeld. The garden space was great for us and the dog and the open living room was nice and spacious, with a really big table and chairs. The bedrooms were a nice size and the bed sheets were comfortable and clean. The bathroom and the kitchen were fairly modern and clean, and the shower was lovely. We had a small issue with the hot water but we called up and they sent someone out same-day to sort it.

The sofa and the main bed were pretty uncomfortable. The sofa was a shallow and too hard, the larger bed felt unstable and the mattress felt as though it was caving in. From the guest book, we're not the first people to say that. The lighting was a bit dim once it got dark outside.

Relaxing traditional cottage with modern interior.

Lovely comfortable cottage with great views of surrounding countryside. Great location to visit some fab towns and lakes. Outside space ideal and two spacious bedrooms with walk in shower in family bathroom. Very well equipped with smart TV and strong WiFi signal. Enjoyable stay.

We expected to have a nice stay and we were not disappointed!

The location is very good for all sorts of activities and food shopping is a short car journey away. The view from the cottage is impressive and the accommodation is very cozy and well equipped. Beds were super comfy. The fit members of our party had a great time climbing the hills and feeding the Horseflies.

The sofa bed is definitely on the firm side, though generous in size. But this is just a small quibble. One of our party had a dodgy leg and this location is best for the very active folk unless you like to just chill and read or watch TV. This is not s criticism; after all it is the Lake District! Horseflies on the hills........anti-bite spray a must! Cottage thankfully free of insects!

A well appointed house. Comfortable retreat from a days walking. Kitchen bathroom and utility room all well equipped.

The property is located behind a row of mining cottages and whilst the far view is splendid with mountains the near view lacks charm. The wood under was great with a good stock of fire wood but we had to buy kindling.

so beautiful and comfortable in a great location. the garden is lovely for little ones. the main living area is perfect for living and relaxing in. plenty of storage throughout. the cafe at the village hall is excellent, the old railway line is fantastic for walking or cycling or running to and from Kessick, Blencathra is a beautiful walk and accessible from the cottage. anywhere else you can drive to easily - such a beautiful location. we will definitely stay again.

Comfortable and cosy in a great location!

The cottage is generally well appointed in a fantastic location with walks right from the doorstep. There was plenty of room for the two of us and our dog and the fully enclosed garden was a big bonus. There are lots of tourists brochures to thumb through if you need any help deciding where to start which was nice. We would definitely stay again!

There was no mop or broom which didn't help cleaning when we left. The sofa and blanket were absolutely covered in white dog hair.We had to clean it when we arrived. I should note my dog is black and NOT permitted on the furniture. The dehumidifier could be larger as I had to empty it twice a day which is a bit of a pain but as it was requested I in the book we did it. Did not spoil our stay though as the cottage was very comfortable.
