Good location, cottage in need of a makeover.

Location

The property is in need of a deep clean in the downstairs areas as there was a ‘stale’ odour throughout our stay. Also the cottage is in need of decoration as there was an appearance in some areas was scruffy.

Lovely cottage in good location

All very good and as expected. The stairs were a little steeper than we expected, so this is the only reason we would not stay in future. Otherwise it was an excellent spacious propery

Nice location . But would not stay in this property again

Good views and close to Fitz Park

Property was dirty . Spend 2 hours cleaning it to seek some what clean . Was reported straight away . Stains on blinds and curtains . Dust in all bed frames . Had to keep my foot on the shower door to keep closed . No door handle on inside of the bedroom door . Fire hazard as couldn’t be opened from the inside . All has been reported .

N/a we were self sufficient.

No outside sitting area. Very small cottage style garden at the front and a shared gravel/concrete parking area at the rear. Very squashed together, very dissappointing. Mould in bathroom on most mastic runs, very tired looking.

Everything you need for a Lake District holiday

Cosy little cottage in a good location with private parking and easy access to the town centre of Keswick and beyond. The cottage had everything in it that we needed for a short stay.

Some of the decor was tired and there is clearly a damp problem, although the cottage didn’t smell damp at all. The shower cubicle probably needs to be replaced. The rest of the bathroom looked to be fairly new.

Good location and was OK for a short stay.

Shower weak flow and erratic temperature control. Microwave too complicated to use. Poor toilet flush. More loo rolls needed. Stained duvets. No handkerchief garden?

Felt dated and uncared for. Just had a horrible vibe to it. Photos looked good on your site but what a let down. That’s the last time I’m ever using either Booking.com or Sykes.

Lovely location and property, just a few tweaks needed.

The little chocolates on the pillows, the location and the general layout/style of the property. The kitchen was also quite well equipped.

The shower was very weak, and the rain shower fell off at one point it is not attached to the wall, and it looked like the toilet hadn't been cleaned properly. There was no cooking oil/salt/pepper provided and some suggestions for where to park extra cars/ warning that there is hardly any parking would have been appreciated. In addition providing 3 toilet rolls for 6 people staying 2 nights was not enough.

Water flow was terrible- took ages to run a bath! Parking spot a little tight to get in to.

Problems shower and night time in dining room and kitchen on the floor had slugs and cold rooms not much heating on because still cold outaide. Problems car parking space for 2 car. Mattress bed is not comfortable.

The house is big, dog firendly, and altogehter fair value for money. We are a family of five. 2 of the teenagers loved the "attic room" with the excelent rear view.

unfortunately we found the house not as clean or as comfortable as we would haev liked (in terms of linen and towels). It was decent, not more.

Great stay fountain cottage

Great location, very close to Keswick centre. Very well equipped kitchen. Comfy sofas and bed. Good TV and WiFi. Looks just like the pictures, we had a lovely stay!

Some of the furniture was a little dated. Slight smell of dog when we first went into the cottage. Water pressure in the shower wasn't great.

Nice big cottage Quite quiet Close to centre of Keswick Parking Washing machine, fridge/freezer, modern TV and DVD player

Property needs refurbishing throughout Smell of damp although we couldn't identify where it came from All furnishings very tired and need repacing - lounge, dining room, bedrooms. In bedroom on 1st floor a leg on a bedside set of drawers came detatched when a drawer was opened. Only cleaned superficially and, given the Covid-19 risk, should have been deep cleaned. Filthy under setee cushions + an old sock, and under and behind furniture. Around shower enclosure and corners of bathroom floor. On our last night a panel of the ceiling and a quantity of rubble (in bedroom on 2nd floor) colapsed, just missing our sleeping grandson. Stairs to secong floor were very steep (as advised in the details).

The property was perfect for what we wanted. It was warm and welcoming soon arrival and closer to town conveniences

Kitchen equipment, ie pots and pans were poor quality. Towels were far to small would barely wrap around the waist of an adult.
