The space! Wow so much room, nice little touches like logs and fire lighters. Plenty of kitchen bits and pieces.
Towels were also plenty and good quality.
Quiet location. For what you get it’s excellent value for money.
The WiFi was painful slow and doesn’t work in the down stairs toilet, please upgrade this. As I know phone signals are zero.
The mattress in the main room is tied, the under second pairs of the pillowcases had white dog hairs on them.
But all in all, this place is excellent for money so would recommend.
Would stay again.

Perfect location for exploring the northern lakes and Allonby beach. Logs were a thoughtful touch. Great communication. Outstanding value.
Beds could do with firmer mattresses.

Nice cozy cottage, clean and had everything you needed
The boiler is not enclosed and in open space between kitchen cupboards and needs attention, its metal covers vibrate constantly when fired up and this made for an unpleasant and annoying aspect to our stay. At night the TV signal deteriorates and the picture constantly breaks up so you are lucky to watch a full programme, The wooden double bed creaks. I only noticed whilst writing this review that all the points I have raised above have also been raised before by previous guests and the fact they have not been addressed by the owners is not really acceptable.

Immaculately clean , and well appointed in a lovely traditional building
There was nothing to dislike

This is a beautiful place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed and the owner is so pleasant to deal with and went out of her way to drop us off some extra wood for the fire.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Good location for my visits very comfortable
Television buffed during the evening. Re tuned but no good. Watched programmes on my laptop. Ok to watch programmes during the day on the television. Really crap!! Property sleeps 4 but bathroom very small accessible by a very steep staircase at night very dangerous as by the back door.

The cottage is in a small village. Parking was great. The place was toasty warm and great for our short stay with 2 grandchildren. It was good value for money and communication was quick. The kitchen was well equipped. Linen and towels were fresh . Plenty of hot water. Comfy sofa in the lounge which is nicely decorated.
The double bed was very soft and really creaky. The boiler was really noisy and irritating . Wi-Fi signal was sketchy and the Tv kept pixelating so we couldn’t watch it at all.The staircase showed some signs of wear and tear and could do with a touch up in places. A little cooking oil / shampoo and second toilet roll would also have been appreciated.

Double bed not the most comfortable and was creaky.

The property was a lovely cottage, clean and had a great kitchen and accessory’s
My mistake on the key lock code as I booked it so long ago, on the day I asked about it but people have other life commitments and we struggled to access the property, a reminder would be helpful.
The TV situation is poor due to internet strength and also the tv could do with being more modem. The double bed mattress definitely needs to be replaced as it’s had its days, very tired and exhausted.
Their in laws dog is adorable but does scratch against your door a lot for attention which set our dogs off, there was dog mess from the dog in the yard as it has full access which isn’t pleasant and the yard wasn’t ideal to allow our dogs to allow to roam free with their greenhouse, disappointing no rear chillinging time tables and chairs due to the rear feeling it was all for the in-laws.
The internet seriously needs a look into improving, and the tv connection.

Located in a gorgeous little quiet village, close to nearby towns. Clean and cosy with everything we needed.

The beds were comfortable. There was enough parking for two cars.
The signal in the area is awful, but that's just the area, not a reflection of the property or owner. The communication was poor. The number rang out several times and never had a call back. There wasn't a key.

The location of the property is great. Good for visiting the coast and several towns and villages.
We found the property a bit dated and a bit tatty in places.
The stairs are very steep with narrows steps. Bathroom is on the ground floor, not good for visiting the loo in the night!

Very pretty little cottage! In a small village and quiet around but a great option for running into the Lake District!

The cottage is very cosy (we have stayed before) and dog friendly with a big yard at the back. Allo nby is 10 minutes away by car and the beach is great for walking.

Had everything we needed really, location okay, I think it's as good as you can get for the area. There's a Spar and Co-op not too far away and it's easy access to to touristy attractions for the lakes.
Had a good amount of crockery and cutlery etc, we didn't really need for anything. There was a fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV, bath and shower, cooker, gas hob, everything you need to cook and clean etc.
There's very nice views form the back garden.
The shower was scolding hot, it seemed like it was stuck on high heat, we weren't able to shower our children but there is a bath tub so we were able to do that. We figured out on the last day if you run the hot tap in the bath at the same time the shower temp is cooler.

Close to the seaside, comfortable beds.
No privacy. The back garden is connected to the next door and their conservatory. The house is quite outdated and the school on the opposite side of the road is quite loud (if you like sleeping in).

The property was lovely, everything was how it was advertised, clean, tidy and homely. All pre-arrival information was received in good time and well planned.
Before arrival I had sent a message to ask if we could bring our small dog who is friendly and well behaved. We were told that there was shared access with the in-laws next door and they had one small friendly dog. My sister went out with our dog on the first afternoon to be met by 3 dogs, 2 of which went to have a go at our dog. My sister had to pick our dog up as she was cowering and as she turned around, the woman from next door was coming out looking miffed, almost instigating our dog was the problem. My sister explained what we had been told pre-arrival. She then said that if the light was on that her dogs would be out, which was basically all the time. We decided from there on to not use the back yard area and took her out the front instead. Luckily our dog has not been phased by the incident but I would tell guests not to use the back garden full stop. I get the impression the in-laws are not happy about guests using it either. It did leave us feeling a bit unwelcome to be honest.
