We loved the fact that it was 2 minutes from the beach

Although we found the bathrooms all immaculate, the carpets, sofa, and chairs needed a good clean. I had thought their must be a topper on the beds, but it was just a large piece of sponge which we found too soft and not comfortable at all. Overall, it was a nice place, but it needed a bit of tlc and some homely touches. There was nowhere to hang any clothes

Magical

From the moment we stepped into this property the magic happened, the house is clean, beautifully decorated, equipped with every single thing you could think of ( except hair dryer ) but who cares! The sun sets were beautiful and the bed well if I could pick it up and put the bed in the car I would have! If the owners could tell me where they bought the mattress it would be very much appreciated! Thank you for renting out your stunning property to us all to enjoy x Plus thank you for the red wine xx

Perfect family birthday mini break.

Lovely spacious house in a perfect location. So peaceful and quiet. Just steps away from beach and children’s play park. Coastal path right outside lovely for little ones to bike in complete safety . House was clean and well equipped and so well named as the sunsets were amazing. Twentymans famous ice cream parlour just 5 mins walk which also had a little convenience well priced shop attached. Added bonus pets were welcomed.

Perfect place for a nice weekend away.

Excellent location. Ideal for our weekend away. Weather helped by being perfect but able to sit in the conservatory and watch the sunset every night was spectacular.

Good sized property in an excellent location.

Perfect location, right by the beach. Wasn’t the cleanest accommodation and the lawn needed a good mow, but large bedrooms, good showers,heating, tv and internet, the views of the beach and over to Scotland are incredible. There’s a place called Wishers to get really good burgers/pizza and breakfast a few steps away. Parking right outside the property . There’s a pub called The Ship, which allows dogs, but doesn’t do food and another one called Jacks surf bar which does food but only allows dogs outside, where the menu is smaller than if you sit inside, both of these pubs are less than a 2 minute walk. There are some takeaways that deliver to the property via Foodhub.

Beautiful home, so much space! They even left us out a bottle of red for the occasion which was so thoughtful. Will definitely be coming back again and again. Thanks so much!

An amazing place to stay

What a wonderful place to spend a weekend! The location is excellent, you're literally a stones throw from the beach, two pubs and restaurants and a cafe. The house is truly beautiful, we and the dogs felt right at home, and the bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch and very much appreciated, thank you!

The house was very spacious & had fans in the room which were a god send in the mid summer heat! Plenty parking just outside & right on the beech front!

The location was okay but there weren't any shops nearby. The closest shops were a ten minute car ride into Maryport, which was fine but just not very accessible if you had a drink and needed extra bits!

Wonderful stay we didn't want to leave.

Excellent location, right on the beach. The house has the perfect name we got the most beautiful sunset the views over the sea are awesome.we had a wonderful stay. The house was immaculate had everything we needed, plenty of kitchen equipment and lots of space for the 5 of us.The beds are super comfy we didn't want to leave. We would most definitely stay again. I would of liked a welcome pack with local information such as attractions, restaurants and takeaways as well as a guest book to see other people's experiences of sunset House. That's just being picky though. Other than the towels I really couldn't fault it.

There were only 2 towels left out for the 5 of us. We did have our own for swimming so just used those. Wasn't a problem. The sofa isn't the comfiest if you like lounging and there are no tvs in the bedrooms. Again not an issue for us but other people might prefer tvs in bedroom.
