Bramble Cottage

Renovated to a very high standard with absolutely breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and Skiddaw. Very welcoming and comfortable place with some special touches like heated towel racks and a wood burning stove. Very close proximity to Keswick and surrounding villages. Would 100% book Bramble Cottage if visiting the area again.

While there was a washing line outside for drying clothes, we would have appreciated an inside drying rack too as the weather meant we couldn’t really use the exterior one. The bathrooms were very nicely done, yet were missing some functional necessities like hooks for hand towels and shelves to place toiletries in the shower. Weirdly there was no dish soap or laundry detergent provided either so we ended up just buying those ourselves in Keswick. The gravel driveway is quite steep and we found it quite difficult to get out without the wheels spinning and losing traction in the gravel. All the above is not a criticism, just some friendly feedback about things that could easily be remedied to make this an absolutely perfect place.

Fantastic ,well stocked, barn conversion. Beautiful views. Comfortable and very clean. Would come again.

the directions up a lane were correct but could have been highlighted by Sykes better.They sent an email black written on grey, and it's not easy to read.

Wonderful views from the rooms. Very well equipped and modern home. Beautiful wood burner and a very peaceful location off the main road.
