Lovely cosy cottage, everything we needed for our weekend away

Location as was near Wordsworth House, albeit sadly it was closed for the winter. Near to the river for a nice walk.
Was fortunate to have parking outside due to the bank holiday.
I'm scoring based on location, not the accommodation otherwise would have scored lower.
Looks better on the photos than how it apctually is.. Cleanliness was a real issue, lots of dust with cobwebs, especially on the pictures. Had to clean items before use, the grill pan was dirty, as we're the pans etc. Obviously, not checked after other guests. I would recommend a deep clean.
Some tagging issues that need sorting throughout. Curtains were stained. Some furniture needs replacing as worn. Heating upstairs was too hot yet downstairs was chilly.
The parking disc had been hidden and when contacting the hosts, no reply. I appreciate it was Christmas, but they need to respond accordingly. It's definitely not worth the money.

Great location, on the doorstep to the high street but still very quiet. Lovely hosts with good communication who were very flexible with us with check in/check out times which worked really well for us. Comfortable, clean, Cosy little cottage with everything you need.

Loved the little extras, little chocolates, toiletries, teabags & coffee.
Much appreciated.
The smell as soon as you walk in the door made me want to walk straight back out again.
The bedding and towels had certainly seen better days.
I went out and bought towels, pillowcases and a scented candles to make our stay more bearable.
It is a little bit tired round the edges, with a few tweaks it would be a fab place.
It’s a great location for exploring the lakes.
The owners were very helpful.
Parking was no great issue for us to be honest.
