Hotel Helvetia

The hotel grounds, lobby, pool, restaurant and the bay itself are stunning! The service is excellent. The breakfast is 10/10.

The rooms are nice, although the bathroom was oddly narrow, and our side facing room felt a bit dark. The A/C was loud, clunky and ineffective. The temp is controlled by the front desk so you must ask them to adjust it, with varying levels of success.

Close to the sea, you can hear and smell it. New rooms and bath area. Nice restaurant.

The web-site and most google reviews seem to be misleading - indication of "wellness" hints that there should be at least sauna and the pool is supposed to be heated. In reality the pool was cold (26-27 degrees when there's 16 outside). Access to the hotel by car is tight - we were fined 187 euro when left our car at the square even though our data were "transferred to the system". We paid 430 euro and 40 euro for the parking is really too much - we could book 5-star hotel in the area at a cheaper price. When i started to analyze the rating of the hotel, the research system indicated that there had not been any reviews on tripadvisor for 18 months and the reviews on booking.com were too generic and made from one country (US) which sometimes can be a symptom of "creative reviews management". "Private beach" is effectively a bunch of a few laybeds at the public beach. And yes, the apple juice at the breakfast seemed to be sour (even though the breakfast overall was nice and fresh).

Location, Decor and Service are all exceptional.

Nothing. Not cheap but I don’t resent the cost.

The views from the hotel were spectacular The rooms were bright and cheerful Bed was very comfortable

The pools were not heated but maybe in the middle of summer it wouldn’t be such a big deal. The prices for their cocktails were very expensive. More than double in price to what you would pay for at a bar
