Everything was excellent — the location, the cleanliness, and the overall comfort exceeded my expectations. I would especially like to commend Cortina at the reception desk. Her warm hospitality, professionalism, and genuine care made a real difference in our stay. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel truly welcome, was always helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Thanks to Cortina and the entire team, this was a memorable and pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return in the future.

Wonderful Stay in Zurich!

All of the staff at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and recommendations. The breakfast staff was very good serving your drink of choice and restocking items on the buffet. Rooms were very clean.

Good stay and lovely installations

The hotel is very nice and it has a good location near the train stations and 20 min walk to the center. The room was small, but it has everything you might need. I stayed in a room with shared bathroom and never crossed any other guest, it was literally always available and super clean. The breakfast it's good and has several options. The lady who was helping the guests with the breakfast on Sunday morning was super caring and lovely. There is free water at the reception so you can fill your bottle and the staff cleans and leaves you a bottle of fresh water every day.

The only 3 things to consider: Bring earplugs as the hotel doesn't have noise isolation walls. I took mine with me because I read it in the comments and it's necessary. There are not blackout curtains. Specially for me the mattress was too soft.

Good location, worth every cent, beyond my expectations.

The location is accessible to Zurich Central and near the Old Town too. The staff is friendly and helpful. The lounge is welcoming and the room is clean, actually spacious and comfortable. There is a sink and mirror in the bedroom itself, which I appreciated. I also appreciate the towels provided. The communal shower is clean and modern. I feel safe because they also think about security measures during night time.

Good location, good vibe, reasonable price, what more do you want?

Good location (the centre of Zürich is easily reached by tram, a few hundred meters away), friendly staff, reasonable price, nice vibe. A nice touch is the always available pitcher of lemon water in the foyer!

This is not really a drawback, but there is no more staff after 22h and if one forgets one's key card in the room going to the shared bathroom, one can be locked out by accident. So forgetful people should be aware of this point.

It is well-located and clean.

We booked the room expecting to have a private bathroom, based on what is shown on booking.com facilities description. At the check in, the hotel revealed that we get shared toilets and asked for extra 100CHF for upgrade to a room with private bathroom. While the lady at reception was generally fine, neither receptionist seemed particularly eager to assist. The gentleman, however, appeared somewhat confused about his role; behaving as though the guests were his employees. I’d recommend that the line management take a moment to clarify the basics of customer service and role expectations with both receptionists.

Super clean hotel. Shared bathroom but really wasnt an issue as the bathroom was spotlessly clean and almost always avaialble. Staff super friendly and helpful. Not to far from tram and train. The area was so quiet we overslept every morning

Ideal and restful one night stay in Zurich for solo traveler.

Quaint older bldg but very much up to date inside. Very comfortable single bed room with private bathroom & shower. Quiet location with easy short walking distances to trams or just walking into town. Felt very safe walking alone. Zurich is a beautiful city. I was very grateful for allowing luggage storage after check out. Thank you

Very happy we stayed at the Saint Georges

Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Excellent communication from helpful, well-organized staff. Late check-in instructions were very clear and simple. Location was convenient to trams, a short ride to the old town.

The strong Swiss franc combined with the weaker dollar made Zurich very expensive. But that's not the hotel's fault. We paid a lot, but the hotel was a good deal compared to other Zurich hotels.

Exceptional - only wish we could’ve stayed longer!!

Wow - by far our favourite place we’ve stayed in Zurich and in an excellent location- short walk (15mins) to Zurich HB and close to supermarket / dinner outlets. Exceptional staff and well maintained hotel whilst still keeping its charm. The room was big - spacious, incredibly clean including the shared bathroom facilities. We were very lucky to have had our request for a window and double bed considering our booking didn’t include this and we were pleasantly impressed by the balcony with French styled doors - very cute! We were passing through on our honeymoon and they went above and beyond - heartshaped chocolates, so thoughtful! We only wished we could’ve stayed longer and if we are ever back in Zurich we will definitely book again - thank you!

Lovely hotel, dog friendly

I really like this hotel, it's walking distance from the central train station, very clean, friendly staff, and dog friendly with just a small dog fee. I was only staying one night since I was just passing through, but checkin was easy and the area felt very safe. I also appreciated that it was quiet, even with the window open. Plus there are a few nice restaurants right on the same corner. I stayed here twice in the last month and I will definitely be back!

Lovely hotel but a bit of a walk to the old part of town

The staff were extremely friendly and stayed in touch throughout my journey to help me find the hotel easily. The room was really comfy too.

The location was a little further from the old town than I would have liked. It was a a good 20 min walk to get to the attractions, and another 20 back.

Nice, affordable option in Zurich (room with a shared bathroom)

I stayed at the hotel for one night, having booked a room with a shared bathroom and toilet. The room itself was small but clean, and it had a washbasin and a balcony. It was on the fifth floor. The neighbourhood is nice.

The shared bathroom and toilets were clean and bright, but there was only one shower and two toilets for the whole floor, which isn't ideal when it's busy. This isn't very many when it's busy

I much look forward to returning to this great small hotel that offers very good value for money

It is a great mix between the old and the new. The old building has much style and charm while the modern interiors make the hotel a very pleasant place to stay. The reception staff were very welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean. The location is very good, five minutes walk from the station which has a very quick direct connection to Zurich HB and on to the airport.

I had a wonderful stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and well-maintained, with housekeeping coming in regularly to take care of everything. Although the bathroom was shared, it was spotless and always clean. My room had a lovely balcony with a great view.

Great option for a more friendly budget in an expensive city

It’s central enough, quite charming actually, and the shared bathroom was always super clean which was so good. Easy to go hiking or to the old city and lake from here. The room has a desk, comfy bed, good wifi, all that you need. Didn’t try the breakfast. Frankly, stayed at a more expensive hotel another night and preferred this one.

Just the room decoration was a little outdated but nothing major really. A mini fridge would be an amazing addition.

Upmarket experience in a budget hotel

I had low expectations for a budget hotel but Saint Georges felt smart and upmarket. We had a comfortable and pleasant stay, even with the whole family together in a family room.

The room was a bit of a squeeze with all four of us but we still fitted comfortably. The beds were good and it was immaculately clean.
