Great value for money, location was easy to find and parking available. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious with a modern bathroom (good water pressure and plant y of hot water). The food is what I think of as gastro pub, well prepared , plenty of it and reasonably priced. Breakfast was plentiful and a good choice, with a bottomless supply of coffee, I particularly enjoyed the watermelon as it was super hot when we were there, we were actively encouraged to make a pack lunch to take on our journey. And the dog came too …… he was made welcome by the staff, we chose to sit outside and eat, but he was made welcome in the dining room at night and at breakfast. We were given a key to the back door for late night and early morning doggie loo trips. There was a good area of grass near by and a poo bin.

The food in the restaurant was very good. The hotel is a nice countryside place worth staying at if you pass the area.

The billing was unclear for the personel working at check out. Difficult to clear things out in English.

Great food and excellent base for hiking, cycling and motorcycling.

We had a great, spacious room, but the highlight was the food. That alone was definitely worth the trip. We both had the stuffed wild pig that was excellent, as were the wine and beer. Included in the cost of the meal was a salad, bread and desert, so very good value as well. Solid breakfast at a very reasonable price. The chef and staff were very friendly, and we were offered the use of a garage to keep our motorcycle in, and it appeared to be used for bicycles as well. We stayed after a day riding on the Vosges and would recommend this hotel and restaurant as a base for the Vosges and the excellent roads towards Trier.

Exceptional

Location, staff, facilities, cleanliness, good food, good restaurant. I always appreciate family owned businesses. They always have that personal touch that reflects the warmth. And Schlossberg has it. A bit worried with comments saying that it's hot inside.. Just open the window. It's nice. Busy street? not really.. We only stayed 1 night, but would like to come back again. We enjoy driving through mountains.

Nothing. It's value for money. The building is 168 years old.. so everything is as expected. A bit squeaky wooden floors.. just add to uniqueness.

Alles was man braucht.

Sehr sauberes Zimmer,neu renoviertes hübsches Bad, gutes Bett mit bequemer Matratze. Möglichkeit einen Kaffee oder Tee zuzubereiten.

Ideal!

Die Lage in einem kleinen Dorf ist für Ausflüge und Übernachtung bei Familienfeiern ideal! Es war sehr ruhig! Das Zimmer war groß und perfekt eingerichtet. Parkraum steht ausreichend zu Verfügung. Früheres Einchecken war problemlos möglich!

Da gibt es nichts, was man schreiben könnte!

Für uns und dem Anlass der Übernachtung war alles perfekt !

Obwoh wir nach 22.00 Uhr ankamen wurden wir herzlich empfangen und konnten ohne Streß einchecken. Die Mitarbeiter sind super nett und freundlich. Wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen. Vielen DANK

Ben je met de moto in de buurt, zeker hier verblijven!

Top hotel voor de motorreiziger. Gemoedelijke en gezellige stijl, lekker eten (zowel diner als ontbijt). De host is zeer aangenaam voor motorrijders, zodra hij zag dat ik met de moto was, ging de garage open. Hij hielp met de laadkabel tot in de garage te brengen, bood spontaan een doekje aan als ik de ketting ging onderhouden. Ik arriveerde - te - laat voor check-in, maar dat was helemaal geen probleem. Zelfs na motoronderhoud vroeg de baas zelf of ik nog honger had, hoewel de keuken al meer dan een uur dicht was, en bakte hij nog een zeer smakelijke schnitzel. Lekker ontbijt, en opnieuw kwam de baas vertellen dat ik wat moest meenemen, want onderweg moest ik ook eten! Heerlijke ervaring!

Freundliches, gutes Hotel mit tollem Restaurant und netten Personal

Gutes, gediegenes Hotel. Motorräder konnten in einer Garage geparkt werden. Sehr gutes Restaurant für Wildspezialitäten. Nettes Personal Gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Man darf sich sogar Brötchen als „Reiseproviant“ mitnehmen.

Hyvä tunnelma jo heti kun saavuimme. Moottoripyörä saatiin talliin. Huone oli viihtyisä. Ruoka ihan todella hyvää ravintolassa. Aamiainen myös hyvä. Henkilökunta oli todella mukavia.

Sehr freundlich, sehr sauber, exzellentes Wildgericht am Abend mit einer sehr ambitionierten Speisekarte (konnte leider nur ein Gericht verkosten da nur eine Übernachtung dort). Beim nächsten mal würde ich sicherlich mal das Rehfilet aussuchen. Ausgewogenes Frühstück mit Angebot Spiegeleier & Co frisch zubereitet aus der Küche zu bekommen. Am Schluss noch eine Tasse Kaffee mit dem Wirt und etwas Smalltalk. Da ich Probleme mit dem Treppensteigen hatte, hat mir der Wirt angeboten den Koffer rauf zu tragen - das nenn ich aufmerksam. In Summe, Preis - Leistung sehr gut und werde gerne wieder dort übernachten, wenn sich die Gelegenheit ergeben sollte.

Es war ein sehr angenehmer, wenn auch sehr kurz, Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Haus. Ich fühlte mich sehr wohl.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen und mir wurde alles in Ruhe erklärt. Hier würde ich immer wieder ein Zimmer buchen, wenn ich in der Nähe bin und kann es mit einem ruhigen Gewissen und mit Überzeugung weiter empfehlen. Danke für Ihre Gastfreundschaft.

Nettes kleines Hotel mit guten Frühstück und sehr gutem Restaurant

Wir hatten leider nur ein kleines Doppelzimmer, d. h. ein Zimmer mit einem 1,40 m-Bett. Das war kuschelig, aber für zwei Nächte vollkommen ausreichend. Beim Frühstück hatten wir sehr viel Auswahl. Das Omelett wurde frisch zubereitet und war köstlich. Wir haben abends im Restaurant vorzüglich gegessen. Dies lässt man sich zu Recht auch gut bezahlen.
