Not able to get any kind of decent rest.

Location was good, and staff was polite, although the desk was not staffed in the morning and it took quite a while to wait for someone to come to check out.

Bed was quite uncomfortable, and the pillows were so lumpy I ended up sleeping on a rolled up towel. The rooms are advertised as “sound proof”, however I was awoken several times throughout the night (1 am, 2 am, and 4.30 am) when guests were returning and shouting, laughing and even whistling in the hallway. The shower head looked as though it had not been cleaned in a very long time.

Breakfast is great. Location is good, well served by Saarbahn and within walking distance of what Saarbrücken has to offer.

Elevator didn't work initially, staff knows about the issue but was too proactive until prompted.

Great hotel let down by the guy on the front desk.

Great location underground parking. Fantastic breakfast.

I’d booked the underground parking in January, guy on the front desk just said there’s no room and wasn’t very helpful , traveling by motorcycle I wasn’t prepared to leave it on the street, with a lot of persistence on my part I persuaded him to let me try to find space, lady in the garage was great and we managed to find a spot. Make sure you double check on availability in garage.

What a fab stay! Would come back!

The property was easy to locate, had parking but didn’t know it was limited and you have to coordinate it ahead of time. This is good to know for our next trip to Saarbrücken. Thankful they had only 1 spot left or I don’t know where else I would have been able to park. The rooms were beautiful themed and very clean. Wish the AC blew better or that the rolladens could stay down when the late afternoon sun is beating the windows. The outdoor patio from the roll and the one in court yard was beautiful! Loved that the breakfast offered by the restaurant, it had something for everyone, every walk of life (French, German, American, etc.), the choices were fabulous! My high point was the nice cafe/espresso machines conveniently located throughout the restaurant. Hotel is also conveniently located close to the garage and a short walk from numerous wonderful restaurants. We had a fabulous time/evening! Wouldn’t hesitate to rebook with parking of course.

Only thoughts were that I wished the beds were more comfortable, they were either very new or very firm. The pillows seemed to be soft and didn’t have the option of one firm and/or one soft pillow. I also wished the AC blew better to cool the room down quicker and would stay that temp without the key in the slot. The sheer curtain over the beds also need frequent laundering. I saw a stain on the sheer curtain on the canopy of the bed but it didn’t bother me too much since it was not touching our skin.

good value, good location, friendly staff but A/C in summer is not working well

The staff is very nice, large garage, easy parking and good walking distance to city center.

The "A/C" (they call it something "environmental room cooling system", it's basically cool air streamed slowly into the room, supposedly very environmental low energy) was NOT up to the task to cool the room. We kept the shutters closed all day (the sun was beating on the windows), doors closed as instructed... and still - the room never got comfortable cool. If you stay there in summer (June/July/August) ask for a non-south facing room. That way you may catch some better sleep then we did. The hotel staff was apologetic and very friendly (all this not their fault!) but this is bad design by whoever designed/build this hotel.

Excellent place but some caveats

Breakfast is the best I ever had. Huge variety, excellent quality. Generally staff is very pleasant, but some are limited in English and this makes them a bit withdrawn. Location is very good, near the lovely old town with many restaurants etc.

The whole building uses heating and cooling from the floor. This system is not able to cool sufficiently when outdoor temperature goes over 30 degrees C. The rooms really have no noticeable ventilation, they become hot and stuffy. I would avoid going here in summer. The design is such that the (excellent) shower is an integral part of the room, there is not a separate bathroom. Toilet is separate thankfully. As an elderly person I don't care for such modernisms. I prefer bathroom and toilet in one space separate from the sleeping section. I like to wake up and take a shower which certainly would wake my partner up.

Nice modern hotel with stylish, arty feel, in great location close to the old town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large, comfortable and well appointed room. Great breakfast.

slightly quirky hotel with parking

slightly quirky hotel in quiet side street, good to have underground hotel car park even if the parking was a bit tight. easy walking distance to main sqare with bars, resturants etc. didn't have hotel breakfast butfound great little cafe nearby at half the price!

only thing i can think of is pillows a bit thin. also as with most hotels in Europe no tea/cofee making facilities.

uniquely personized rooms at city center of Saarbrucken - good quality and value for money

Location of the hotel - at center of old town, walking distance to any downtown attractions. due to center location, pre-reservation of car park is must -daily rate in my mind was very reasonable room was stylish, roomy. Large variety of choices at breakfast with high quality ingredients-good day start.

Perfect Stay - very pleasant staff

We liked everything especially the staff. They are calming, helpful and super nice. The room is comfortable with a gorgeous view of the city’s rooftops and steeples. The breakfast was scrumptious and again the staff there a delight.

The prosecco I organized for my Partner's Birthday was remembered. Breakfast was great and the lady that worked the nightshift was wonderful and was an excellent host for beverages. She was very hospitable.
