Ola Living Diagonal Apartments

The apartment was very spacious with plenty of bathrooms, one for each of us (we were a group of 3 travellers). It had a lovely bathroom overlooking the street, which was a nice feature. The apartment was clean overall although the sofa covers in the living area looked quite stained and one of the bathrooms had some slight mould. The location was good and it was good value for money. The communication with the hosts and ourselves was excellent throughout our stay .

The apartment is located next to a hostel, run by the same company so it could be quite noisy at night. The most concerning issue was when I returned alone as to the apartment to find a service engineer inside the bedroom I was staying in. It was quite alarming because firstly, I was on my own as a woman and secondly I had not been informed that anyone would be entering the apartment and I initially had no idea who the man was. I had not reported any maintenance issue so this came as a complete shock. Ola Living did apologise afterward and said they would notify guests in future if a service engineer needed access. While I appreciated the apology, I don’t feel it went far enough given the seriousness of the situation. Guests should be informed in advance before anyone enters the apartment, except in a genuine emergency.

Staff was exceptional, they were so friendly and when I had some personal requests - they were really proactive in helping me.
