Glocal Apartments Barcelona

Great apartment in an excellent location. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host was very helpful and responsive. We had a very pleasant stay and would happily come back.

We really liked the location of the apartment and its size!! Excellent area, bakery next door, and supermarket across the street. The restaurant downstairs was good, and there were some excellent vegan places nearby. Easy access to good bus routes. Stylish decor and comfy seating/ dining areas. Quiet bedroom at the back of the property. Good location for Primavera.

We stayed for 4 nights, and on a couple of nights, the neighbour upstairs was a bit heavy-footed at certain times, however, it was ok, and we managed to overlook this, as we were too busy having a good time in Barcelona!!

The set up and ambulance are charming. We were very comfortable. Everything is clean and gleaming.

A few logistical issues - doors are very heavy for a disabled person, the kitchen tap is loose. And my toilet didn’t flush properly.

This is a big apartment close to facilities and sites but needs a thorough deep clean. We booked the day before and even though check in was 3pm, we didn’t arrive in town until 5. I had to message the property via WhatsApp, booking.com & email from 4pm until I heard back at 4.30. The cleaner wasn’t done until 5! No explanation just that the unit wasn’t ready. It smells of sewerage in the foyer and in the apartment - particularly in the third bathroom. There are two toasters and neither of them work. Washing machine is mouldy. You get old dishcloths for the sink. And the shower soap holder was still dirty and full of dregs from last tenants.

Most things. Read above. It needs a deep clean and reviewing of appliances. Mould in corners of all showers. The stench of sewerage is foul.
