Nice family stay and nice location

Very nice and calm plac to stay with family. Breakfast was good ( in a non-peak season ). Staff was verry professional. Good car parking space.

A nice guesthouse with lovely staff, good beer and a great restaurant.

Initially there was a mix up with our room and while this was being sorted the owner served us complimentary beer. It didn’t take long to resolve and we ended up with a room upgrade 😊 The rooms were comfy with a large bathroom. The restaurant served good food and catered for locals as well as guests. The staff were all lovely and many spoke enough English for us to be able to communicate.

The lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. But that seems to be the same across Germany.

Quad room

Very comfortable and good sized quad room. Breakfast spread was comprehensive and filling. We also had an evening meal here which was very nice. There's probably loads to do in nearby areas but we were on a one night stop through.

Staff looked rushed off their feet and were a bit stressed.

We started our road trip through Europe here and ended here. Unfortunately, we didn't know it was closed on Mondays. After many hours of drive, we hoped for some drinks and a good meal as we were tired. Had to order something online, which wasn't great either. First experience was better!

Noisy plumbing. Restaurant gets very busy with cruise parties and guests from next hotel. Initially couldn't get a table.

Relaxing gateway in the nature

location, was really scenic and close to lot of hiking trails including for small kids. Spacious and safe and very close to 2 cities. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The place was clean and all the ammenities that we needed were available, the area was very calm and counted with nice paths to walk the dogs.

The stove had 4 places but only 2 worked. At the check-in we were told breakfast was until 10:30 but was only until 10:00 :(

Great location and fantastic breakfast.

Hotel is a little out of town but thats the way we wanted it. We had a great evening meal too. Breakfast was brilliant. Room was exactly what we needed. Plenty of free parking. Countryside was lovely.

Our booked day was their weekly day off, but we didn't know it in advance. It would have been nice to know the procedure in such a case. Luckily there was a friendly guest in one of the cottages to help us to get in.

Beautiful location, spacious wood cabin, clean and comfortable. Dinner was great in the restaurant and the staff very friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer.

It was great, I would go there again! The price of the room in this time of year was very good,

I didn't like the amount of wasps, but the hotel staff did their best to get rid of them, Breakfast was good, but glasses were very small, so you have to walk back a lot.. Variety of food was good enough. The beds were good, It was nice that they provided one fan in the room, luckily we brought 2 others, otherwise it would have been way too hot. We had dinner in the hotel one time too, food was great, price was not too bad

The pillow was a little too soft for me personally, which resulted in neck pain in the morning. Also , I think it would have been nice if every room had a little fridge... The room was very hot, so it was impossible to have a cold drink in the room,

So homely in a beautiful setting offering gorgeous wooden chalet houses which are beautiful inside with everything you need for a wonderful stay. The breakfast was very tasty with a large selection in a lovely cozy wooden ski chalet type building & the staff were very friendly & accomodating 10 out of 10….Highly recommended.

Just my preference but everywhere I stayed in Europe had huge pillows made of thick material which is too warm for me so I brought my own pillow with 100% cotton pillowcase which worked for me as the temperatures where 28-38 degrees & it kept me cool & i slept very well. The Waldhaus probably did not realise but on the English side of their printed instruction card at the property they had typed the WiFi password as FOREST HOUSE but should have left it as WALDHAUS as the English translation did not work so that needs to be re typed.
