Had a fabulous stay but attention to detail lacking
Loved the onsite spa
Staff were friendly
Lovely outdoor areas
Very catering to pets
Our room (15) had a mould patch on the wall under the window. And a big stain on the carpet by the door as you walk in. Beds were comfortable but not the best quality. Shower was missing caps in bathroom. Breakfast was quite a small portion in comparison to other places

Great hotel
It’s in a great location. Comfy room and beds, dog friendly, great shower, fab food, and your staff were all great. We had such a great time and topped off by the local firework display which we hadn’t know about. Thanks for a great stay.
Only thing was that everywhere was very hot but better than being cold!

Worth The Money
For the price the beds were comfy and the room was very warm.
It would have been nice to have a communal space

Bunkroom accommodation behind a very welcoming hotel.
We were running the Slate Trail and wanted a budget stay for a night in Betws-y-Coed. The bunkhouse is very basic but it's got showers and was warm. It's just behind the hotel so we used the bar and restaurant there - excellent food (evening and breakfast) and very friendly staff.
Bunk rooms are a bit small and basic - but at this price are absolutely fine.

Overall the stay was ok we went for the area and got that. But the apartment was not what I had hoped for especially for
The location
The apartment was bare and not homely at all. The bathroom was awful with a paint job that looked like it had been done by a child.

Disappointed overall with the room we were given.
Location of hotel
Booked a twin room but were given a family room which had a cold and unwelcoming feel to it. Single bed was very uncomfortable, had to swap with my husband's bed for the second night which was only slightly more comfortable.

Extremely disappointed stay
Just a space to sleep
Hotel rooms Pictures are extremely misleading. I thought I was booking a normal room but after money was deducted I received a email saying it’s a bunk house. Please book only if you are prepared for bunk house. Though you have a seperate room it has just space for single bed. There is no space to sit but only and only for sleeping. Room is absolutely small and Toilet is shared. Toilet was extremely dirty. You have like 8 or 9 rooms and such a tiny shared toilet. Bring your own, hand wash, shower gel shampoo towel and everything. Only stay if you are looking for cheap stay to sleep only.

We used the hotel as a base for touring the north of Wales.
Have stayed there before, it’s comfortable clean and in the perfect location for day trips around North Wales.
The dinner menu was very limited, and the breakfast was definitely smaller on the last morning of our stay.

Perfectly located friendly charming hotel.
Perfect location in the middle of the town, the rooms were spacious as was the bathroom. A nice lounge, dining room and bar and plenty of space outside to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. The staff were really friendly.

Excellent
The hotel was a little tired, one of the mattresses in twin room 28 was a little lumpy, however on saying that, the staff, the breakfast, the location and the building itself were all brilliant..
9ne of the mattresses in twin room 28 could do with being replaced..

Dirty broken bathroom..
Moldy, broken tap, old broken shower. Room.not been cleaned as expected
Staff was lovely. Until I dared to complain about the states of the bathroom. It was really dirty and moldy. The shower was all broken i could barley get my head under to wash myself.
They never cleaned our room. When I pointed out the state of the bathroom. They pretty much brushed me off. Which is not fair as I paid good money to stay there.
I didn't like the dirty moldy broken bathroom.
I didn't like the attitude of the staff when I complaint.
I didn't like the fact they didn't clean our room. Felt like we just need to shut up and take what's given. Even though I paid almost £140 off each night

The room was a bit dated

Our Ruby Wedding anniversary stay was disappointing.
Location in the village. The staff were friendly and professional.
The shower didn't work. Only hot water. Scalding and on a 30 degree scorching day too!
Three of the four light bulbs were out. Neither bedside lamp worked. It was a dark night!
Noisy and drunken people in the smokers' shelter were directly under the windows of our family room. So we had to shut the windows and stew in the heat.
Breakfast was disappointing, no boiling water for tea. Adequate at best and not until 8am.

Rooms very dated

Well located clean hotel for enjoying Betws-Y-Coed
The twin bedded room was clean, comfy and met our needs well. The hotel was well located for wandering around Betws in the evening.
Evan was very helpful with advice and suggestions for things of interest in the area.
Some of the staff were brilliant, others at breakfast were polite but functional. A cheery smile and a 'good morning' as you walked into breakfast would make a big difference.
Otherwise no issues - happy to stay here again.

Avoid like the plague!
Nothing.
As soon as we walked in the place smelled of stale alcohol, the reception staff were unfriendly. We booked into our room and when we opened the door we were greeted with a dirty room. Stains on the carpet (red looking), hole in the wall, unidentifiable stains on the wall, mould on the pillows, cracks in the wall / headboard. Looks like somebody had been sick in a drawer and it had not been cleaned properly. Dusty, dirty and dated furniture. A full wheel extension to plug our kettle in, not sure why. Cups had tidal marks in them - disgusting! To top it off mattresses had no protectors and where massively uncomfy and my daughter and myself ended up with many bites after one night!
Due to all of the above reasons a we cut our trip short and left early. When we went to reception to check out and explain our complaint as to why we were checking out the desk was empty so we rang the assistance bell. After ringing twice an irate, scruffy looking staff member came shouting from the back that “she was coming and only had one pair of hands”. We proceeded to tell her why we were leaving l, she said she was shocked as guest comment on what a lovely room it is?!!! (See photos) then she said it wasn’t too bad for us because we only had to travel to Manchester to get home, this was spoken as if this was a positive point of our break.
Breakfast salty, over cooked and rushed. Served in a dirty dining room.
There was a spa that we cancelled using as if the rooms aren’t clean goodness knows the hygiene levels of the spa!
Overall a very disappointing booking. Came home after one very uncomfortable night.

Excellent most enjoyable. Would go here again.
Situation was perfect. Property was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.
The shower was really difficult to get in and out of as it was very small and the door opened inwardly.

A well located Inn but sadly a bit tired.
We stayed in The Apartment which was large with a comfortable lounge area and kitchen.
The location is perfect for exploring Betws-Y-Coed and a good point for exploring Snowdonia.
A discount is offered to residents on the cost of breakfast which was ok.
Free parking on site is very handy.
The apartment is a bit tired, could do with a refurb. We never did manage to get the tv to work.
The bedrooms are accessed up a very steep set of stairs and the beds were not that comfortable.
The whole Inn is a bit tired and would be much nicer with a bit of investment in refurbishment.
The price was a bit expensive for what it is.

Comfortable stay in the heart of the mountains
The location is amazing for exploring North Wales, and the comfy bed meant a peaceful night at the end of a long day. Excellent breakfast and the restaurant was also good, with plenty of vegetatian and vegan options.

A short and sweet visit with a brilliant breakfast!
The location and the welcome and the breakfast
I could feel the springs in my bed so not much padding left on the mattress (room 25 - bed nearest the door).
