Perfect time away and being so close to Betws town centre

I would recommend this accomodation to anyone travelling to the area on a tight budget.

Location was very close to the main commercial area. The warden was very helpful and friendly. Although I didn't actually meet her she responded promptly to any queries by messaging or phone call. The room was practical, clean and quiet. Everything I hoped for from this booking. All this for exceptional value! I would definitely choose to stay here if I were to visit the area again in the future.

Perhaps the bathroom was a little far from the rooms on the top floor. In the middle of the night I was conscious of disturbing other residents with opening and closing landing doors and creaking stairs and floorboards. Not a huge problem but it was on my mind .

Great value for money.

Great location, not far from Betws-y-coed and the rest of Eyri, beds were clean and quite comfortable compared to some other hostel beds I’ve slept on. Staff were friendly and helpful, I think you’d be hard pressed to find a place that is better value for money, I’d definitely stay again.

A great budget place to stay with a lovely host

Helen, the host, was so welcoming. Showed me around and was glad I’d had a nice stay. The showers and toilets were really clean. The bedroom was all I needed for a good nights sleep.

The fire doors slam when other residents use the loo in the night so take some ear plugs.

Blissful in Betws. Great location, great facility.

Michelle, the Warden, was super helpful and friendly. She went out of her way to help and support us. she was thoughtful and gave us some top tips for the area.

The room was a little warm and we had the upstairs fire exit in our room so that it meant that we could not secure the room. Other rooms were much better and more roomy so in future I would be more specific about our requirement. The single rooms were really sweet.

Perfect place to rest and prepare for the next leg of a journey. Great location, cozy, and most of all, the warden Michèle really went above and beyond to make things nice and workable for me to explore Betws-y-coed and the mountains. 💛

Cozy and well priced stay at Betws

I had an exceptional experience staying at the Woodlands Centre. I have been biking on the hills, and I took a night stop here. I couldn't have asked for better. Michelle, the warden, welcomed me warmly, upgraded my room, made sure I was well settled and gave me a warm welcome, giving me great food suggestions. I had a peaceful night's sleep and biked the next morning. It was a great experience, and I strongly recommend the place for groups and solo travellers like me. Looking forward to the next visit.

I would definitely stay here again.

Despite the building being a little run down, the location is amazing, the shared communal room is very cosy, the staff were super friendly, and the kitchen is almost a commercial-style kitchen with everything you could need.

No lockable storage space in the dorm.

Cold in room and woken up after long day in mountains by residents (unsure if guests) having very loud party including young children in next door room. Did receive text after departure to apologise.

Perfect location and great stop

Great location in Betwys y coed to explore the local area. The hostel was perfect for what I needed, bed was comfy, enough space in the room, clean, and had all the facilities I needed. The wardens were lovely and very friendly, thankyou so much!

A good base to explore Snowdonia from.

Everything we needed was at the property. Michelle and Helen were lovely and so welcoming. Quiet location.

We found it a little chilly on our last night but the weather had turned exceptionally cold. Spare duvets were provided in the room and these were very welcome.

The creaky-est bed I think I have ever slept in. The other beds were really noisy too.

Lovely weekend stay, with good facilities and transport, on the A5.

Super welcoming and friendly wardens! The kitchen had everything we needed and the lounge/dining area was always warm and cosy.

It's a steep slope up the driveway, so definitely advisable to park at the bottom, then meet the wardens and move the vehicle to where they recommend.
