Fabulous weekend away with great service.

The location of the hotel was just perfect, all the staff were super friendly & helpful and the food tasted amazing.

Being at the front of the hotel we had great views but being next to the busy road meant we had the noise from the traffic but this is a small price to pay.

This is my go to hotel in Betws-y-coed. I stay here st least four times a year. Great hospitality and friendly staff. Good food. Comfortable and clean bedrooms. Very dog friendly. Can't fault it.

A welcoming stylish stay in bustling Welsh town near Snowdon

It’s was welcoming, clean and stylish. I loved the Christmas decorations everywhere. We also ate a meal in the evening for my birthday and the staff were really friendly

We didn’t have breakfast, the room was comfortable, the bathroom was nice, good shower. There were no towels in the room when we arrived but I asked for some and they gave us some straight away.

Room was excellent value for money and was nicely finished. Nice little selection of drinks in the room and biscuits.

The food and drinks were very expensive compared with other hotels in the area. The bedrooms were very hot even with the window left open but the bar and lounge areas were too cold.

The location was wonderful and the room was beautiful, we had a lovely view across the park from our bay window. Dinner in the restaurant and the bar were both good experiences. Electric car charger was very much appreciated!

The bed has coils that made it uncomfortable and the sheet was not a fitted sheet so kept coming untucked at night. So apart from the bed everything was very good.

Location was very nice, right in the centre with plenty around to walk to or drive. It was a very nice looking property and had a bar and restaurant as well. The staff we interacted with were all friendly and were able to help us with everything we needed. The room was also very big and spacious.

Woth the price of the room, it could have included a small fridge and a hairdryer in the room.

Great hotel

The hotel is in a good location. Breakfast covers a wide variety, caters for food allergies, hot breakfast is cooked when ordered also enjoyed a couple of evening meals. Could order a packed lunch which was helpful when we were out hiking. Consisted of sandwiches, water, fruit, crisps and a flapjack - which also caters for food allergies. Hotel is clean, staff are friendly, location is good.

A little hiccup when I got there…. No towels in the room and very little coffee/milk in the room… but…. Easily rectified with the help of the lovely lady on reception.

Beautiful hotel in amazing surroundings

First and foremost: Amazing staff. We haven’t seen an unfriendly face all week. Helpful, friendly and highly professional. 3 EV chargers in the parking lot made charging a breeze and the whole village is just beautiful and friendly

We didn’t have much luck with the weather, cold and rainy all week. So we really missed a heating that runs all day . The heating is strictly limited to evening and mornings, quite disappointing when you come home cold and wet from a hike or run Another thing: with great staff like this hotel has, we would like to tip. Unfortunately the card terminals in the hotel don’t let you. We hardly carry any cash these days, so updating these systems would be great.

Great hotel in a great location

Great food and drink, lovely hotel and friendly atmosphere . Car park quite small but plenty of parking over the road. Still managed to squeeze 4 motorbikes in no problem.

The best reception lady but let down by the hot rooms

Location is superb. Reception staff absolutely wonderful, thank you. Great bar and restaurant. Parking at rear for around 10 /12 vehicles. Big room. Dog friendly.

Used to have a coffee machine in the rooms but don't anymore. Also only English breakfast tea and coffee in the rooms, a selection of tea would be great and better coffee. We stayed on the top floor at the front of the building this time (I have used The Gwydr many times) and the heat was unbearable. It was difficult to keep the window open all night as it was a very busy Saturday in Betws y Coed. Desk top fan didn't do the job. You could feel the heat in the building intensify as you got higher in the building. Mattress also really uncomfortable. We are walkers so were grateful to get up and out early the next day. Also we have had doggy goody bags previously, doesn't seem like they do these anymore, of course it's not a negative that these don't exist anymore but it was a really lovely touch.

Great location to have as a base for all North Wales adventures and Betws-y-coed has a range of excellent pubs and local spots as well. The Sherpa bus stop is one minute and gets you to Snowdon in 40 minutes. The bar and restaurant were great, and our room was clean and comfortable The best thing was the staff, they were all so helpful and friendly and really made our stay. Particularly (and apologies if I’ve got their names wrong) Cheryl, Charlie and Aled who gave us lots of tips and were generally fantastic.

The carpark is incredibly tight! But there are lots of public car parks and street areas you can park for free

It was a nice hotel - about right for the money.

There was a chap on the table near us who requested a simple cheese omelette for breakfast which had been served to him the morning before but this morning was refused because it was not on the menu; seemed a bit petty to me. My breakfast was good but no brown sauce which is not a deal breaker but would have been nice to have had the option.

Drinks prices were very steep.

Great Place in Wales to Stay for People on the go!

This hotel has quite a few updated finishes/amenities that are probably hard to come by in this area. The room was comfortable. Location was great for accessing restaurants, shopping, and attractions nearby. The breakfast was very good and lots of variety. The staff was very kind and helpful throughout our stay.

There wasn't anything to dislike. This hotel is a great choice for the area. If I had to nitpick, I tend to prefer a more modern room and it the restaurant was closed the days were were visiting.

Excellent hotel - especially if you are travelling with a dog!

My daughter and I felt very welcomed as soon as we entered the hotel - and so did her dog who was given a doggy treat at reception. Both the bedrooms and the public areas of the hotel are nicely decorated to a high standard. The bathrooms are lovely with very powerful showers. Breakfast was nice and my daughter’s dog was treated to a sausage for her breakfast. The location is great, right in the centre of Betws-y-Coed.
