Fantastic stay in a great area!

Fantastic smooth process for a very late booking. Arrived approximately 2 hours after booking, welcomed by the host and guided through the very easy self check in process. Clean pleasant facilities and very close to nearby pubs and restaurants.

Good but bed needs improvement

The hostel is very clean, the rooms, the bathroom and the common area too. The common area is really welcoming, it's perfect to socialize but also for reading or enjoying a meal. The location is perfect. The staff was very helpful giving me advice which bus to take. I wanted to write as a negative point that there was no hanger in the room, but before my last day suddenly there were hangers! So it's evident they constantly better the place, which is absolutely positive

The bed was very very soft, to the point it made my back hurt after multiple days. I don't know if it was an originally soft matress or an old one but it wasn't nice lying down on it after a big hike. I got a bunk bed which wouldn't have been a problem if there was something I could grab on both sides when climbing up-down the ladder. On the short side, where the bed is closed in by the panel there was no place for my hand. It would be nice to have a handle or something, because like this I always felt I would swing to the side

Fantastic stay at a fantastic hostel!

Excellent hostel! Friendly welcome and easy check in. Even changed bed to lower bunk. Super clean building. Excellent and spotless showers and toilets. Great location for all things in Betwys. Room was great: comfy bed, power and light, storage under bed, curtain for privacy, clean and airy. Nice little lounge area with tea making facilities, games, and sofas. Bar area with drinks and snacks you can buy with phone 24/7 and proper coffee from 9am. Whole building and facilities felt new and well kept. We went on the bank holiday weekend and although it was full it didn’t feel particularly busy. There is a car park behind the building but as it was a bank holiday it was already booked, which was expected (we parked one road). Generally a great experience and excellent value for money. Good work guys!

Very minor stuff. Cool and very clean and modern area to buy drinks and snacks using phone 24/7 which was helpful, but prices were very high. Good for emergencies, but suggest buying what you need from Spar down the road or before getting to Betwys. Fresh coffee made by staff from a proper barista machine looked great and a lovely touch, but that starts at 9am so little late for those off hiking before then. But this is very minor stuff and the place and staff are great!

The hostel is a converted country house and they have done a superb job of the renovation to a hostel. Run like clockwork. Amy is a credit to your team - helpful, cheerful and knowledgable about the local area and Wales in general.

Amazing stay at Betws-y-coed for Snowdon hike

The staff are very nice and friendly. The whole place is clean and smells nice. Also, the drying room comes in handy for people who want to wash and dry their clothes!

The emails for early check in and post stay survey did not work for some reason, but nothing major.

Good and bad

The showers were top notch, the beds were comfortable, the staff great .

The online check-in process failed, which left three of our guests waiting for several hours upon arrival. There was a fire alarm malfunction in the middle of the night, forcing all guests to evacuate the building at 3:30am. A free coffee offered as compensation for a lost night’s sleep feels entirely inadequate. The only available method for heating food is a microwave, yet the plates and cups provided are metal and therefore unusable in it.

The atmosphere was very calm, everything was clean and comfortable and the staff was super friendly:) There wasn’t a proper kitchen but the kitchenette had enough tools for me to make an acceptable meal

You couldn’t close the doors silently you more or less had to slam them and there was no space (e.g. a wee shelf in the corner) in the room to store your stuff, you had to either use the floor or your bed.

Hidden gem hostel for hiking Snowdown

No sleep.

Liked the bedroom setup and the bathroom

There needs to be house rules for the guests, there was a group of 3 of us in a room for 4 and he came in at 1AM, turned on all the lights, watch tiktoks for an hour on full volume and then continued to snore for the rest of the night - none of me and my friends could sleep so ended up leaving for the hike at 3:00AM. Other than that it would've been great without this guy coming into our room, I understand it's a hostel and not a hotel but at the same time none of us could've slept.

Probably the best hostel in Snowdonia

Ideally located for daytrips to all the best mountains. Comfortable and friendly with a nice, cosy bunk bed with personal lamp and socket and curtains, and a lovely hot 'rain' shower. Friendly pub, tasty Indian and Spar nearby. Parking space for £5/day.

A small kitchen would've been nice.

Visit snowdon

This is a great place to stay to discover north Wales. Great location and fantastic place to rest and recharge after a hike. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are spotlessly clean and beds are comfortable. Would highly recommend, great for families, couples, friends or even if you fancy visiting alone you would feel welcome and looked after here.

The place is amazing very clean and comfortable . I would recommend it to any solo and a group travellers . Places near hostel are very beautiful and good for small hikes . The staff members were very friendly and helpful.
