We couldn't shower, there was no toilet paper, breakfast at 8:30 was not possible.

Very unique stay

It has been a very nice experience. The castle is really a piece of amazing history and the owners take care of it so well. It is indeed a great place to visit and to stay.

Nice Castal living experience

The hotel owner couple were super nice,welcome us with a couple of drink and chat with everyone,the breakfast was awesome,cuz we need to check out at 5 am,she prepared a rich breakfast for us,we were so appreciated that!

We need to open window and sleep,mosquitoes came around ,I was awake all night,btw,it would be better if the bathroom have a regular mirror ,cuz I don’t know where to do my make up thing…

Perfect for the value of money.

The place is beautiful, owners are very friendly we came from brugge so felt like home as the owners also from flanders. Rooms are spacious, all drinks water, coffee are available. Bathroom also nice has hair dryer. Breakfast served in gorgeous room, and breakfast has lots off to choose from everything was fresh. Really enjoyed and definitely recommend!

A missed opportunity

The chateau and its surroundings are beautiful and the owners are friendly.

While the chateau is beautiful, the rooms are stowed away on the (in the summer extremely hot) second floor. The breakfast is also on a second floor of the outbuilding. This means that the ground and first floors are not really used by people staying. This is a shame, since you aren’t able to enjoy the stunning views from the tiny windows on the second floors. My suggestion would be to move the breakfast area to one of the many big rooms with views that are currently only there for ‘show’. The breakfast was ok at best. No local produce, no sweet danish or croissant. The juice is not fresh. You also have to share plates with fruit and charcuterie with the other guests, who are seated too close for comfort. The room we had was basic, for instance no nightstands, and it was not cleaned properly as we found several cobwebs and dust bunnies. It really is a shame, because the owners are friendly and chatty.

Beautiful part of Belgium

The location was in a beautiful setting. The chateau was lovely.

I don't know if it was written in the information but it needs to be stressed that there are a lot of stairs to go up and down to get to your room. They did, however, make a great effort to look after disabled persons. They were very considerate with this.

It could be so much better!

The castle is beautiful but it is not enough ....

Facilities and management really under the expectations. It seems like no maintainance has been done in the last 15 years. Blankets like at the youth hostel, no soap, very old mattresses, sanitary should be renovated. Not up to the standard of hotels in the same range of price. Moreover very difficult to reach them to receive an invoice I asked at the moment of the payment, no answer to the emails, no answer on the phone. After one month I still don't have my invoice ..this is not very professional.

La vie de château avec des châtelains aux petits soins

Magnifique découverte un peu “par hasard”… À la recherche d’un logement pour un “après concert” à Vierset, nous avons eu la chance de dormir dans cette somptueuse demeure rénovée par ses aimables propriétaires qui nous ont réservé un accueil formidable. Merci Mr et Mme Brugman et au plaisir d’une prochaine rencontre !

Rien à dire. Avis aux amateurs d’art, prenez le temps de regarder toutes les œuvres d’art qui se trouvent dans cette caverne d’Alibaba !

Erg lieve eigenaars die nog graag tijd besteden bij het verwelkomen van de gasten. Onze 3 kinderen vonden het geweldig om in een echt kasteel te overnachten.

Calme et sérénité

Les propriétaires sont aux petits soins. Ils sont vraiment très gentils et accueillants.De plus , ce sont de vrais passionnés par leur château et son histoire. Monsieur, architecte de formation, a tout fait lui-même.Madame en parle avec beaucoup d’amour. Le petit déjeuner était un régal et vaut bien 5 étoiles. Le cadre est splendide.

De eigenaar was zeer gastvrij, maar zijn echtgenote was allesbehalve vriendelijk. Helaas waren de kamers ook niet schoon — overal hingen spinnen webben. Het ontbijt was ook ondermaats..
