Not well insulated, very noisy at night with people passing by the corridor it felt like they were in our room and woke us all up 4 times throughout the night. It felt like there wasn’t a door…

NIGHTMARE IN NAMUR
There is nothing positive to report about this establishment.
The Les Tanneurs experience tops the list of bad hotel experiences and speaks for itself.
The hotel's approach to resolving a significant problem was without a hint of empathy and so unpleasant, arrogant, and dismissive that we were forced to abandon the room we were assigned and book another hotel in Namur.
Due to a medical condition (claustrophobia), it was not possible for us to accept the small, cramped and dark room we were assigned. In addition, it was only accessible through narrow, winding corridors with countless small stairs. We couldn't help wondering whether such escape route, on one of the top floors, could constitute a fire trap.
Subsequently we sought the assistance of the front desk staff to:
1. Accompany us to the room, so we could point out the cause of our concern. This was declined.
2. Change the assigned room to another, more suitable room. This was declined.
3. Speaking to the hotel's General Manager. This was declined.
4. Having our payment refunded in exchange for not using the room. This was declined.
The outcome was that we had to book a room in another hotel that could accommodate adequately the aforementioned medical condition.
We have, of course, submitted a justified complaint to booking.com and expect the hotel to refund the price of the room, we did not use.
Further we recommend that the hotel seek to train its front desk staff in basic service management and conflict resolution so that incidents like this are de-escalated, not escalated.

Short stay in Namur
Location
We got a room outside of the property , located in the extension. I would have liked to get an option inside.

Beautiful hotel near the centre of Namur
Location near the centre of Namur was ideal. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. A problem with the shower temperature was resolved very quickly.

Beautiful hotel in a great location!
We had an apartment in the new part of the building which was very comfortable and quiet. Dogs accepted. On-site parking. Breakfast was good and well-stocked but the room was small and flow was bad. The location was great for exploring the city. Staff was helpful and friendly. Laundry for a fee...a real plus since many hotels no longer offer such a service.
Pigeons on the roof out the window could be annoying with their cooing.

A little disappointing
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable
There was a small raised area between the bedroom and the sitting area and the bathroom which meant having to step up walk three paces and then step down to get to the bathroom which was difficult in the dark. Also in the details given for the room it stated that there was a safe deposit box in the room. There was no security box in this room. Also we were unable to have an evening meal at the hotel and one reason for booking Les Tanneurs was because there were two restaurants.

Very nice stay.
Large comfortable room, good location, helpful staff
No net curtains for privacy. Bad smell from one of the bathroom sink drains.

Nice and cozy stay
The room was very modern and well equipped, even though from outside, the building seems to be a bit on older side. The facilities were excellent. The staffs were very cordial. The location is also quite central.
Parking spacewise is a bit limited, so there are some double parkings - you need to wait for the other car to get out before you can take out your car. So in case you are planning to take out car multiple times in a day, there would be a bit of a challenge.

Nice stay for a family with kids, Kitchen included was what we wanted.
Room with Kitchen. Breakfast. Easy Access to the city. Very walkable
The smart TV was not really smart. Could not connect to Netflix/Youtube, reached out to the front desk for help. They tried it too, but they could not solve it either. Was a bit trouble for my little kids after a tiring day.

Good hotel with large restaurant - just ask for a room that is not close to one with a Jacuzzi!
It is a very interesting hotel, with innumerable levels of floor and lots of stairs, it looks a bit like an Escher drawing. Room was wide, well furnished, and with a well-appointed bathroom and big shower. All curtains and blinds were electric, and worked. Nice snack tray with reasonable prices. Nespresso machine in room, and also a sofa and a nice TV. The hotel has a large restaurant which looks very pleasant and well attended, but we did not try it. Good breakfast, if a trifle expensive. Location is good for visits to the Citadelle (walkable distance to either the Citadelle uphill or to the cabin lift from the centre). There is some limited parking available, including 3 charging stations for electric cars (which were however ICEd by non-electric cars when we arrived).
Our room (320) had a very low ceiling, around 2 m, which felt a bit oppressive. There was a loud fan in the courtyard, coming up from the kitchen, which thankfully was stopped around 22:00. However, the room next door had a Jacuzzi, and our neighbours decided to enjoy it at 23:30: it was like having a jet engine in the room... it took a long time to fill up, and then it became even noisier when they started the bubbles. Luckily the whole thing lasted less than half an hour, but if they had been night owls...

Superb hotel, we’ll be back.
A fantastic old building very well renovated and modern, superb facilities and a fist class restaurant. Best breakfast of our two weeks touring holiday staying at my different hotels.
Everything was great.

We won’t come back again.
spacious
- dirty: bathroom with spiderweb & kitchen with dirty cups & dishes
- chaotic room:
There was no bed sheet in bed; so we had to call front desk to search for one and end up doing the bed by ourselves at night before sleep. The pillow cases were also put inside out. One closet was chaotically stuffed with spare pillows and comforters.
- rude staffs:
The next morning, at around 10 and 11:35, two people banged our door, when we opened the door, without saying anything, they looked pissed and only spoke to someone over their walkie-talkie. One of them even rolled her eyes at me, while making a unpleasant noise.

Superb
Location is great for everything Namur has to offer.
Parking on site
Great conversion of an old building into a quirky hotel.
Comfortable hotel
Helpful staff
Poor fire safety. No escape plan on the back of our door and no running man signs. The quirky nature of the building, with many up and down staircases to get to our room on the top floor, was disorientating enough at the best of times. In smoke and no lights it could be disastrous.

Very good
The style of the hotel and excellent restaurant ( have not try the “ grill” resto.)
Secure place for bycicles.
The comforter on the bed was really bad too heavy like an old blanket….
The skylight does not provide enough air and light. Air conditioner not a good option for us
Our room was above the terrasse of the grill restaurant, so we had to keep window close with a gorgeous evening weather. Not enjoyable for the price !
The trash can in the bathroom was not empty at our arrival.

A giood hotel despite some problems....
The room was very nice, confortable and clean. We did not hav breakfast in the hotel
The parking is quite small and we had problems to find a spot for the car arriving during heavy rain. Staff was not so helpful at first but then they solved the situation but it was a bit stressful!
Be aware that even using the lift there may be many steps up and down and narrow passages to reach the room: this was because this is an ancient building and while it has been renovated, there are not easy ways to connect all the rooms. If you have mobility problems inform the hotel when booking

Pass.
Hotel looked cute, staff was amicable, bed was great.
Room 208 - weird disposition, a bit too dark. A/C was leaking water into the main corridor. bathroom was weird smelling - not so clean. Netflix on smart TV was not working and they couldn't help. Staff knocking on the room door before check out time. Not a lot of options for breakfast for the price. Way too expensive for what you get.

Quality unsurpassed
Very off the tourist trail but so glad we stopped in this city and splashed out - its definitely not the cheapest hotel but worth every penny.
Traditional family-owned venue but by a family of out and out hotel professionals who take extreme pride in the level of service and comfort. From the welcome desk to the quality of the room, it was a fantastic experience. We didn't try the bar or restaurant but looked to be a lot of local people enjoying the food so that speaks volumes.
Very nice location, and a very nice city.
Quirky room as it is a very old building but has been thoughtfully modernised and fitted with nice modern facilities.
Parking tricky (what do you expect in small narrow old city streets) and you could be blocked in.

Very good
I had a sauna in my room which was the highlight of the stay. They also have a restaurant in the hotel which served good Belgian food.
