Nice location but the hotel is functioning at bare minimum

The location is amazing. The rooms are clean and modernly designed.

The biggest problem is the air conditioning. The room is getting hotter and hotter during the day, and becomes unbearable during the night. There is no cooling system whatsover installed. Second day we received a fan from the owner but it was just impossible to cool down the room with a single fan. So, considering this holiday was supposed to be a relaxing one, it was really disappointing. Also, right after the reservation, we received a mail, stating there will be no breakfast during July.. And there is literally no one in the hotel, everything is digitalized. So all in all, does not match the price I paid at all..

Great place to go with your partner

Excellent hotel for an escapade, large and comfy room (and bed!), close to the main spots in town and easy to reach, with nice facilities and parking. The breakfast is also really nice, and the staff very friendly. We were even promoted to a suite free of charge :)

Everything was GREAT! Location, facilities,...We loved our room, but also the hospitality from the owners, you really feel like home. Sublime Stay in Namur

We have stayed in many luxury hotels over the years, but Hotel Vedette is one of the most beautifully designed hotels amongst them. Quiet rooms with amazing views, all room amenities luxury standard. Lounge areas beautiful and comfortable, and our breakfast was beautifully served.Owner helped us with printing documents, ordering taxi's, such professional service. Thank you. Erik & Ann Marie

Exceptional

Excellent location just close to the river Meuse, perfect and small hotel for a romantic week-end escapade. The hosts were polite and thoughtful, I really appreciated that they tried to offer options for a vegan breakfast as stated in the preferences. Very clean room and the hotel was decorated with amazing good taste taking into consideration colors combinations and matching every little detail giving an overall private and relaxing atmosphere.

Sublime!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful boutique hotel. The style was impeccable, the service was very friendly (family-like atmosphere) and the beds were very comfy. Having breakfast in the sublime dining room was a real pleasure - well worth the extra fee. The little town of Profondeville by the river is also very cute and despite its relatively small size it has several good restaurants. We rented bikes from the hotel and rode along the river until Namur and back. Considering the bikes were new and in good condition and the riverbank is flat, the route is doable also for a less experienced cyclist :) I would also like to mention the good access from Namur by public transport (bus 4). Profondeville is about half-way between Namur and Dinant. However, in order to visit Dinant by public transport, it seemed to us that it was only possible on weekdays, which means we will do that the next time :) We are definitely going to return to this fantastic place!

During our visit the weather was very warm and our room, which had a river view, got quite hot. Therefore, on warmer days I would recommend to request a room on the backyard side.

Weekend stay

Everything was perfect, from the moment we arrived, the host opened the door ‘till the moment we left at the reception. I’ve travelled a lot but the suite was so nice & beautiful, all new. Also the breakfast was perfect in covid times. Never hesitate to go to this hotel 🙂

Profondeville ist stets eine Reise wert.

Die sehr schöne Ausstattung.

Schade, dass möglicherweise die Hotelstruktur wohl aufgegeben werden wird. Die beiden äußeren Kennzeichen sind: Kein Frühstück mehr - es soll wohl ein Umbau in einen Ferienwohnungsbetrieb stattfinden. Das zweite Kennzeichen ist das Schild „zu verkaufen“ (a ventre). Soll das ganze Hotel oder nur der nördliche Raum umgewandelt werden?

Boek hier niet! Wachten nog steeds op terugbetaling van ontbijt!

Wij verbleven voor 1 nacht van 24 tot 25 januari. Zaterdagnamiddag kregen we al een bericht dat er geen ontbijt kon geserveerd worden. Eénmaal toegekomen krijgen we kamer Benoït, Mooie kamer tot we in de badkamer komen en de helft van de glazen douchewand ontbreekt. Het stuk stond gewoon tegen de muur. Als je het water liet lopen, stond de vloer onmiddellijk onder water. Dus wij gebeld en kregen nieuwe kamer en nieuwe code. (kamer Léopard). Kamer was ok. Wij waren de enigste gasten in het hotel. Dus als je dan weet dat de badkamer niet in orde is, geef dan toch onmiddellijk een andere kamer. We vermoeden dat dit ook de reden was dat er geen ontbijt werd geserveerd. Dat het niet rendabel genoeg is om voor één koppel een ontbijt te moeten voorzien. We zijn dan s'morgens naar le pain quotidien gereden om daar te gaan ontbijten. Echter, we zijn nu 3 weken verder en we wachten nog steeds op onze terugbetaling. Gemaild naar hun emailadres. Bericht kon niet afgeleverd worden, terug gebeld, een ander emailadres, terug niet afgeleverd. Nog eens gebeld , terug nieuw emailadres. Al tweemaal gestuurd wanneer we eindelijk onze centen terugkrijgen. Dit komt dan niet bij de eigenaars terecht. Je krijgt dan als antwoord dat ze de mail nog eens naar de eigenaars gaan doorsturen. Toch wel erg dat je zelf zo'n moeite moet doen om uw centen terug te krijgen. Een compensatie zou meer dan welkom zijn. Maar bon, we gaan al blij zijn als we ooit onze centen gaan terugkrijgen. We hebben lang genoeg geduld gehad. Vandaar deze review!!

Une assistance le week-end catastrophique

Le confort était au rendez-vous.

Je n’ai récupéré mes clés que vers 22h45. Car je n’ai pas reçu mon code de boîte à clé. Et quand je l’ai recu et utilisé, elle était vide. Pas de clé, heureusement que le personnel du restantant était là pour le trouver une solution. Je suis enfin entré dans ma chambre vers 23h. Après 5 appels la dernière personne de l’assistante m’a enfin trouvé une solution. La première vers 20h30 m’a carrément informée qu’elle ne pouvait rien faire pour moi car nous étions le samedi soir et qu’elle était une assistante employée par une société extérieure au groupe hôtelier. J’ai lui ai mentionné que j’habitais à plus d’une heure de route… mais elle n’a absolument rien voulu faire pour moi. Un parcours du combattent pour rentrer dans l’hôtel!

Dieses Hotel würden wir nicht mehr buchen!

Modernes Hotel mit sehr guten Zimmern. Schönes Ambiente. Sehr höflicher und absolut hilfsbereiter Mitarbeiter im Restaurant.

Kein Frühstück, kein Zimmerservice. Kein Ansprechpartner für Hotelangelegenheiten vor Ort. Es war trotz dreimaligem Telefonieren und Mailing nicht möglich, den für uns eklatanten Mangel zu beheben. Das ist wirklich schlecht und ein nicht akzeptabler Service.
