A wonderful bed and breakfast located perfect in Namur with a view over Maas and the old citadell. Very friendly and helpful host. The breakfast was great with homemade youghurt and eggs from their own hens. We had a perfect stay!

We stayed for 3 nights in the Rops room which has excellent views of the river and Citadel. The room is decorated with prints by the artist Felicien Rops (a rather controversial artist). The room and adjoining bathroom are comfortable, but what's amazing about this place is the attention to detail and extraordinary work done in restoring every space. And Muriel is a fabulous host who made us feel completely at home. She welcomed us with a local beer, saved us at the Citadel, and put out a delicious spread for breakfast. She provided us with excellent recommendations for places to drink, eat, and visit. We mentioned wanting to bike along the river and she had 2 rental bikes waiting for us! I can't wait to go back for another visit!!

Charm, elegance, and personality describe both the home and hostess of La Villa Balat. Perfect location along the river, close to explore the city center (which has spectacular restaurants and shopping) as well as the Citadel. Our hostess pointed us to some special places to enjoy. Thank you for a lovely stay!
