Worst staying ever.

A lot of parking space

Not clean, damp, bad smell, bathroom extractor is not working, shower temperature control not working, window not able to close properly, heating off at night, with no extra heating option on site. Super cold, super damp, bad smell, nothing is working

Ok for an overnighter in an expensive city

Room was spacious, kitchenette and full sized fridge a bonus; nice and dark for sleeping.

We specifically booked a double room with a private bathroom and were shown into a two bedroom apartment but told that they second bedroom in the apartment was booked therefore we would be sharing the bathroom with them which is not what we paid for. There was also no lock on the bedroom doors, only the front apartment door, so no privacy between different parties who booked. Check out is listed online as 11am but we had the hotel worker banging on the door at 1045am saying that check out was 1030am and we had to be out.

Nice, friendly and convenient house-hotel to stay in Oxford

Spacious room at great value for money in Oxford. The location offers easy access towards the centre and to the motorways crossing nearby. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to all your needs. The property is run as a hotel with a manned reception while still giving you the amenities and feeling of staying at a house. The room was fully kitted with kettle, microwave and ensuite tiled bathroom. Free parking was offered on the premisses though plenty of on-street parking was available on the streets around the property.

I did a few rounds up and down the street until I identified the property. The sign could be a bit more prominent.

Good value for money, don't expect luxury.

A basic, good value place in expensive Oxford. Right opposite the bus stop (out), with frequent buses to the centre (ask for Three Mile Lane stop, opposite Wolvercote Cemetery). Currently being repainted, with new wallpaper. The room had a kettle, large, clean towels, basic soaps, TV, and a couple of hangers in the wardrobe. Single, comfortable bed and black out curtains. Great hot shower. Clean shower and toilet (shared in my case, but there are other en suite rooms).

Don't expect luxury! The bed could use a bedside light. The shower, although clean, was a bit mouldy (tip to owner: invest in Cillit Bang mould remover spray). The shower mat (towel) needs replacing. Make sure you are clear about your heating needs - the manager was willing to heat the room all night, but I told him I would like my heat to be turned off at 10 PM, and then forgot to say I would like it turned on again in the morning! I didn't see anyone in the morning before I left at 8:30. No breakfast there or nearby, but you could probably have cereal in your room. My room faced the main road, but it's not noisy at night.

Free WiFi, microwave. On good bus route to city centre.

No room on car park as there was a car with a for sale sign permanently parked there. We had to park on street and move on by 10am. Our room was at front and very noisy from traffic. Was only there from 9pm till 9am so can't comment on garden etc as didn't see it. Only saw a person when they opened door and gave us a key. Guesthouse sign made the place look uninviting. Think photos on Booking.com were better than our room and the hotel but perhaps we were unlucky.

It was not very clean. This property is obviously quite old and it has that slightly tatty sense about it. In my room, there was a luggage rack, which I had to fix by putting one of the wheels back on. The molding had broken away from around the fireplace, and the bathroom is not very clean. The property is located on a main street and since I had a Ford facing room, I had to close all the windows in order to get enough silence to sleep.

It suited what I was looking for, a cheap place to put my head down. It was clean, and care had been given to all my needs, eg tea for the morning, soap for the shower, comfortable bed, fan in the room and so on.

Great budget stay!

A very good budget guesthouse. The kitchenette was very useful. Comfortable bed and nice big towels which is rare.

Minor quibbles ans easily rectified. No bedside table to put a drink on. Had to turn the bin upside down. Lights a bit bit bright. Needed a bedside lamp as an alternative

Scammers - Avoid

I did not like anything about this horrendous experience. They should be removed from the Booking.com website.

Booked / paid in January. On arrival Guest House said they had no record of booking. Showed them booking confirmation / reference / receipt, but then they informed me they usually cancel bookings (presumably made via Booking.com), yet they had my money. Clearly a scam. No apology, no concern that people arrive with the expectation they have a booking to then find themselves without anywhere to stay. No doubt this awful place will respond with some pathetic excuse to try and justify their appalling way of treating Booking.com customers.

The guest house was absolutely filthy, from the entrance to the rooms. The rooms were not clean, it looked like all they did was change the bedsheet. The rest of the room was dirty, there was mould present on the edges of the wall, cobwebs were visible on the furniture. The counter top with the mini kitchenette was not clean, the microwave was dirty. The bathroom was so dirty that I could not take a bath or even brush my teeth, it had a horrible stench. The level of sanitation in the place is unacceptable given the fact that people pay a decent amount of money to stay here. It was unsafe, my body was itching. Thankfully I only booked a night, if I booked a longer stay i would have cancelled and requested a full refund.

Perfect for an overnight stay or short break

Location was great, easy to find even in the dark. Off street parking was easy to access. Room was cozy and by that I mean the feeling, not that it was tiny. En suite great. TV, hairdryer, WiFi password given. Polite host. Lovely reception area. Garden looked beautiful in the morning.

Bad Host

This guy expects a certain level of cleaning! Messaged me mid way through my stay to say that the room wasn’t Up to his level of cleanliness! Basically I’d left some plates in the sink and some surface water on the microwave plate. He messaged saying he was disappointed! Cheek of him ! I’d been at work all day and rushed back out in the morning and not tidied round!
