We parked our car outside the hotel for free - as far as i can make out, that is a minor miracle in Oxford! Our room was nice and clean and comy and we gained access to the building easily by following the instructions provided. Bathroom was kitted out with a lovely big shower. We used three different places for breakfast, all within a fifteen minute walk, and getting a bus to the city centre involved walking a couple of hundred yards from the hotel and waiting for a few minutes.
My wife and I had bagged the last available room - a twin on the top floor - and the bathroom was across the landing. We had exclusive access with a key, but it was perhaps a little inconvenient. However, we were clearly told about it in advance and on balance it wasn't really a problem at all.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the tea and coffee supply was very well-stocked (much appreciated!), everything was clean and well looked-after, the bathroom and shower were large and comfortable. The house is right next to the road, but my room was round the back of the house, so I didn't hear the road noise at all. The instructions you're provided with how to access your key and the property as a whole are really detailed and easy to follow. I didn't use the communal space, so I can't comment on that, but it looked nice when I poked my head in
It was a slight shame that breakfast wasn't provided, but honestly that's quite understandable. The instructions regarding what WAS available for breakfast on the email were a bit confusing though; it said Acorn doesn't provide breakfast, but also says there's a communal cupboard and kitchen, and that you can "help yourself to jams, spreads and cereals". If cereals are provided, that sounds like breakfast is provided! I brought my own breakfast anyway, so it didn't affect me

The hotel was lovely and clean and good value for money. They did a twin room which is rare. We didn't use the breakfast facilities but it all looked lovely.
The only slight thing for us and it is nothing that the hotel can fix but once out of the centre of Oxford there isn't a lot of choice for food/drink, but again this is not the hotels issue just something we discussed.

The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel is 10 minutes by bus or 30 minutes on foot from the city center. It's worth the price in such an expensive city. I'd be glad to book again if I come to Oxford again.
Nothing.

The guesthouse is immaculately clean throughout. My room was at the top of the house and was very peaceful. I stayed during a very hot spell and the room was pretty stuffy, but there was a fan in the room that helped.
The location is a little way out of town, but it’s on a bus route that gets you into the centre of Oxford within 15 minutes or there’s a lovely walk beside the Thames that takes around 30-40 minutes.
It’s a bit pricey, but that’s Oxford for you and you can park for free on the drive and help yourself to cereal for breakfast, though you have to provide milk or bread if you want toast.
There’s a shared kitchen which was very clean. This is great as you can cook your own meals.
Overall I had a lovely stay and the owners were very helpful and communicated well when necessary.
Nothing really. I guess it might be nice to be nearer, but then I would have missed the beautiful walk into town.

Friendly and helpful staff couldn't do enough for you. Thank you, Justine!! Good location, bus stop to city centre is near by and free parking.
The TV is too close to the bathroom doorway. I bumped into the TV a few times during my stay.

Adorable little place, I loved my room under the eaves and it was very comfortable, though a little small. Very cozy and nicely decorated. The dining room was also very nice.
It's a little far from Oxford centre, but there's a bus stop a few steps down from the door. I chose to walk a couple times and regretted it.

The room was quite large and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean, although a bit 'dated.' We were able to park our car at the property, and we enjoyed our walk into the main city of Oxford. If you don't like walking the distance there are buses along this route. A few nice cafes serving breakfast were opposite and around the corner if you don't fancy the very basic packet breakfast facilities etc provided. The 'breakfast provided' on the advertising was not really what I would consider lives up to that description, so it was necessary to go off-site for breakfast. Overall, though a great place to stay - our room did not look over the street, so it was quieter than it would have been on the street frontage. We loved Oxford, and would recommend visiting there.
As above - the 'breakfast' did not fulfill expectations.

It was really nicely designed. It felt from home to home nice clean and well stock kitchen and clean comfy beds really pleasantly surprised. Lovely little surprises like a chocolate bar in the room really pleasantly suprized us anyone wants to book do not hesitate it
Toilet flush is little noisy but because everything else was so good it did not bother us

Clean, cosy, quite functional for its size, plenty of light
- The curtains on the windows next to the sink should be blackout, as a lot of light starts coming into the room early in the morning.
- Should have a mixer tap for the sink in the room (just like in the bathroom) instead of separate hot and cold water taps.

Great kitchen/lounge/dining room. Meet a few great people. Shared a few meals and awesome conversations
A place to be able to sit outside would be a bonus on a sunny day

Nothing just a little bit noisy from the road

I loved my room but sadly it was up several flights of stairs and I needed help with my suitcase. There was no breakfast which was unfortunate. They didn't advertise breakfast so I did know when I arrived that I would have to find places to eat. The staff were very pleasant, patient, and helpful. The location was perfect, close to town without being in the middle of it, and on good bus routes.
I wish I could have been on a lower floor but that's not Acorn's fault. I injured myself a little earlier in my trip and needed unexpectant assistance.

Cozy and comfortable. On a very nice street near many cafes & pubs. Easy bus ride to town.
The room had a low ceiling in the path to the bathroom where we bumped our heads a few times.
At check- in, we had the wrong pin for our room key, and then we were assigned to the wrong room. It all got sorted out, but it took a little while to reach someone who could help us.

Spotlessly clean room and very comfortable bed.
Our room was a little noisy from the road as it was at the front of the house, but that was stated when I booked so it was expected.
Very close to the town centre, we hopped on a bus and it only took 5 mins 👍 will definitely stay again if back in Oxford :)

Really clean & spacious room, located within walking distance of the city centre but electric scooters/bus were available for a quicker journey. Seemed liked a nice enough area too. Room was well kitted out with lots of useful features including a mini fridge. Didn't use any of the communal areas but they looked nice. Would definitely stay again if travelling to Oxford.
The only negative I could give is that, personally, I didn't find the bed very comfortable as it was too soft for my taste. I'm sure some others would like it though.

Spacious, clean room, snacks, coffee, friendly staff
7.0 / 10.0
Good location, very peaceful. Room clean and comfortable.
Didn’t see any staff hence rating but that didn’t matter as there were clear instructions for the stay.
Fridge in room didn’t get cold enough to keep milk- you have to provide yourself - cool.
More choice for self service breakfast would have been nice.
