The bed was 2 single beds pushed together kept separating and they were different mattresses one was comfy the other was springs in your body

Good location, but the bed quality and overall comfort need serious improvement.

The location was convenient and breakfast was okay.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable — it felt like there were more springs than mattress, and I barely slept. Also, the owner mentioned on the phone that the booking was made last minute, which felt unnecessary and slightly uncomfortable.

My first experience in a shared apartment

The bathroom was well equipped with what a traveller would need, I liked that the kitchen was also stocked as well. That was great I must say. It's my first experience in a shared apartment.

The fact that I couldn't co tell the heating of my room and I have to message someone first, which I did but the heating didnt improve. The room was cold for me. I know it was stated but for the fact that my room had it bathroom downstairs was a downer but we got through in the end. I thought my room was the one in the picture while I was booking but it wasnt. But still the room was okay

Perfect for a stopover

Clean, comfortable and well priced. The kitchen was well equipped and the owner had thoughtfully provided extras.

The outside of the entrance looks quite shabby and neglected. It doesn’t make a good impression , which is a shame, as the accommodation is fine. The bed was too soft for me, the mattress needs replacing.

Lovely stay near Oxford

Location of the house was near enough central Oxford (around 20 to 30 minutes of walk, or 10 minutes on the bus). Bus stop is nearby, as well as a Tesco Express. The instructions prior to check in were quite helpful. The whole property was clean. I like that the room I was in had its own toilet and bathroom inside the room. It has everything I need, especially a study desk which I needed for this particular trip. The garden was also clean. I hung around there and had my dinner. It was lovely and peaceful. I also like that the kitchen is fully stocked with food for breakfast. It felt like home. I can just reheat my food, or even cook if I want to. There is also a locker to keep your luggage/ bag before check in. The cleaner was very pleasant and welcoming when I arrived before check in time.

Just a minor thing— maybe because my room was beside the kitchen, I could hear the other residents when they’re cooking or making food. Or once when the door slammed shut. But mostly, everyone was considerate.

Reasonable price.

Bed was of terrible quality. Backpain was so severe that I had to get up at 4 am. Space in the bathroom so narrow that it‘s impossible to stand in front of the tiny sink in the corner.

I booked the place to rest after my night shifts. I was given a room next to the kitchen. It was noisy with all the cleaning washing. There was no option to choose the room when booking. I did not manage to get any rest.

Breakfast eggs are uncooked, a note next to them would be great, since many accommodations offer boiled eggs. The double bed I booked was actually two single beds put together. The room would benefit from blackout curtains to block the light, I got woken up around 6am because it was light outside.

Terrible experience as I had no toothbrush to brush my teeth at night before bedtime and the morning and had no scrub to

The location and it was ok

The stole my scrub and toothbrush. I suspect the cleaners to have dumped it because even the floor towels weren’t in the bathroom when I returned in the evening to have a shower. Also I forgot my brand new iPhone 16 pro max charger and I have requested the host to send it to my address and it is almost a month now I have received anything. I was going to give a four start but these experiences just really think different of the BB and I no longer wish to have one. I rather continue to stay in a hotel.

Pleasant accommodation within walking distance of the town centre

Very good location about a 35 minute walk into town along the river path and very well served by buses in and out. The weather was good so we had breakfast in the garden. There was a good choice of breakfast items, and a great cup of coffee from the coffee maker. The host was very attentive and responsive and we were able to leave our car there while we walked into town for the May morning celebrations. The room itself was at the rear of the property and was very comfortable, although another guest told me their room at the front was rather noisy.

We had a problem with the front 'smart' door on trying to get back into the accommodation at night. The fob did not seem to work, and it was difficult trying to enter the code properly on the touch key pad in the dark. Eventually we gave up and phoned the host, who opened the door remotely for us. I tried the fob again the next day and it did work on the 2nd attempt. Also, when we returned to the property to check out the door had been left ajar by a previous guest who was evidently unable to close it properly. It was indeed a litte tricky and also took me several minutes to close it when we left.

Pristine room in the best location

Wonderful gem in the the heart of the village. I loved the room and the little garden in front of it, where we had our dinner we got in the shop, peaceful and secluded. The room had everything you need and the shower room is pristine. Great value for money. The only reason, that I don’t give a 10, as the bed wasn’t very comfortable. My husband is 196cm tall (6.5 feet) and we couldn’t see the footboard on the pic when booked it, so the bed was a a bit too short for him and a bit too soft for my taste. Otherwise everything was perfect.

The bed was very uncomfortable.Metal slats made the base and 2 fell off.We had huge problems dragging luggage up the steep narrow dangerous stairs in our late 70’s

Nice, clean and cozy room!

It’s a typical modern english house and I enjoyed my one night stay. My room and its en-suite bathroom were spotless clean. Heating and wifi were perfect. Kitchen was equipped very well and everybody can enjoy breakfast which is self-service and has varieties. There is also a garden space to enjoy. The location is about 20 mins enjoyable walk to city centre. Check-in and check out was lovely simple! Highly recommended and I will definitely stay again if next time in Oxford!

Very comfortable stay

Property was spotless and very well-appointed with 'hotel' slippers, tea, coffee, towels, bathroom supplies, a washer-dryer, and lots of breakfast options. My single room was on the small side but adequate for my needs and facing a private courtyard where I ate breakfast. I only had a flying visit, but this property had everything I needed and more..

My access code didn't work to open the door, so I had to ask a stranger to call the host to let me in remotely (my overseas mobile didn't work here).. This added 20 mins to my check-in time and was stressful. Some operational instructions for the stove top would have been appreciated. Would stay here again through. Host (who i did not meet) very helpful and responsive.
