Cozy Place

Close to the city centre, loads of coffee places around and easy to get to the place even by bus which is very nice

The rooms are not sound proof so I could hear the conversations people were having quite clearly in the staff room until late night

Location could not be better - just two minutes walk from the bus stop which gets you into the city centre in no time. It's quite a quirky place. A Victorian house with a good effort to give it the authentic touch - fairly random but interesting paintings on the walls and even some old leatherbound books on the shelf in my room, as well as a bit of period furniture and an original Victorian fireplace which was actually misplaced because it's a bedroom fireplace in what was once the front reception room. But of course that is neither here nor there in practical terms and it does not detract from the fact that the room was clean and the bed was super comfy.

The amenity is all fairly basic. The furniture - such as it is - is functional rather than attractive. It would have been nice to have more towels provided for a three night booking and maybe some tea/coffee and a kettle. The booking receipt included three different telephone numbers and stated that the owner was always there if needed, but in fact all three numbers just led to answering machines and no response so I'd say the owner could perhaps pay a bit more attention to their customers.

The location is perfect. You’re within 15 minutes of all the university venues. The street is very quiet, so you can enjoy a good night’s sleep.

I find the bes is comfortable and bathroom is newly renovated. The property is quiet and peaceful.

Value for money - The room is very small and only a small made person can comfortably fit it. The room and shared bathroom was not cleaned during my entire stay and linens were not changed. No table in the room or a dining room space even if you want to have a snack. Location is also bit inconvenient if you prefer walking.
