Stayed in the small double room with an ensuite bathroom, and I really enjoyed my room. I enjoyed the high-quality bathroom facilities, and the bed was a great size for one person with many pillows provided. Breakfast snacks and water bottles were provided as well as a hairdryer, and as I stayed during summer, a fan was provided which was useful and very much appreciated. Staff were very communicative via WhatsApp, and the shared dining room had a kettle for tea and hot water.

My main issue was the distance from the city. I didn't think much of it when booking, but the walk from the city to the property was 30 minutes and was very difficult with the luggage I had, so make sure you're willing and up for the walk if not taking the bus. I also had to bring my luggage upstairs which was a bit difficult. The shower pressure was a trickle, which made showers much longer and tedious than usual. It also would've been nice if I didn't have to leave my room for the kettle, but this is a minor issue.

It very much feels like someone’s house and while I understand the reasoning, the first thing I saw on opening the door was a sign saying “no shoes”.

Conservatory room with tea/coffee

Shoes off at door. Understand it’s for hygiene etc but not comfortable leaving shoes in a house full of people. Also parking. 3 cars cannot for comfortably on that space when another car doesn’t park properly.
