Bed was really uncomfortable, we both had painful backs in the morning, also there were two plastic chairs that didn’t reach the level of the work surface and there wasn’t a bin. The flooring was slippery and lifting

Clean room, comfy bed but significant security concerns

The room was exceptionally clean and bed comfortable.

Code access to the building was the same code as our room, which caused fear anyone could get in during the night. Walls were thin and we were asked to be quiet by a neighbour despite not having tv on etc, didn’t feel that we were being loud. We also couldn’t get out the car park at 8:30 the next morning as my friend had to jump over to use the control on the other side, as the control pad inside the car park didn’t work - staff knew this the night before

Checking in was simple, location was great. The room was clean and the bed was comfy and fresh.

The room was cold, the hard flooring was cold and not cosy, the bed had lost a wheel and was uneven. The drain the the shower gurgled when the room next door flushed the toilet. There was only one pillow.

Price was lower when extending my trip last minute

So many things to complain about. Sink is outside of bathroom. Full length mirror is one of those distorting ones. Shower had weird bugs chilling out there for days. One set of utensils. Building is old, no AC. Do not expect comfort

Good location but disappointing for price.

The location was good for accessing the centre, and there were good facilities nearby.

The entry system didn't work so we didn't have a key fob for our stay, another guest didn't have a key fob either and we were woken by him calling for help late at night. The floor was dirty and electrics were faulty when trying to turn the bedside light on.

Great location, good value and a comfortable stay.

Picking up the keys was easy and good comms from the owner. WIFI was good, room had everything I needed for an overnight stay. I had a single bed. Would have been fine for a couple of nights I think. There was a desk and chair so could get some work done. Location is perfect for exploring Easy/Central Oxford.

Check in was from 4pm which felt quite late - but it meant they could offer you the ability to pay for a late check out of up to 2pm (usually 11am), which could potentially be really helpful.

Disappointing, not what I was expecting from descramd previous reviews when i booked

Double bed was very uncomfortable, single bed squeaked. Room not very clean and had an unpleasant damp smell. Hallway and stairs also smelt unpleasant.

Small hot room! Avoid!

Close ish proximity to centre

The room was tiny, and not reflective of the light airy spacious rooms on the booking.com pictures! The window didn’t open properly and the room was absolutely boiling hot. There was a ceiling fan which we couldn’t make work - no instruction on how to use in the guest book - we couldn’t sleep due to the heat of the room. In desperation I msgd the host at 0130 who guided me to switch the lights on to make the fan work! Far from ideal. Ruined nights sleep which ruined our following full day in Oxford! Avoid!

Pretty comfortable for a short stay!

Microwave and kettle available in the room itself. Good amount of storage for luggage and clothes. Comfortable, adequately sized beds and a spacious room with a table and couple of chairs near the windows. Good for a family or stay with spouse etc. The staff was super friendly during my after office hours late check in and I had issues with the self check in die to incomplete prior check in form. They gave me good guidance during the last minute. It is highly recommended to complete the form beforehand.

The bathroom was clean but I expected better cleaning in the shower area. A sliding door could have been more appealing and hygienic rather than shower curtains that end up getting the rest of the bathroom floors wet anyways. There was no functioning exhaust in the bathroom so everything was a bit damp for a long time after a hot shower.

Poor choice for an overnight stop

Good location for walking to an event in the city, with parking. The bedroom, bathroom, bedding and towels were very clean.

Everything else! The room did not resemble any of the photos on the booking site and was very small and 'tired'. The bed was poor and uncomfortable. There was a microwave, kettle, worktop with 2 plastic chairs - but no mirror in the bedroom and no bedside lights. The bathroom was very clean but so tiny that you could barely move in it. This is not a guest house where you can comfortably get ready to go out for an evening. It is better suited for short stay living accommodation

A receptionist would be nice. Mattress is old and squicky. Bad TV connection. The room was on the second floor and quite stuffy. I asked the cleaning lady for a fan which I was kindly given. But it was just too noisy to sleep with

Very pleasant once in!

I didn't like the problems with getting into, ie self-checking in, and getting out of, the hotel. Luckily there was a very pleasant and helpful member of staff there. Other people were also upset. Getting the car out of the parking was also a problem -- I heard someone there saying it was like a prison as he couldn't get out.

Simple, unfussy accommodation. Clean and competitively priced.

Plain and simple for a competitive price in Oxford. Responses were quick online to questions and the whole trip - check in / check out / facilities - went smoothly. We didn't use it for our overnight stay but the Kitchenette looked great and very useful for a longer stay if you did not want to eat out all the time. A short, pleasant walk into central Oxford.

The road outside is quite noisy but the double glazing was efficient on front facing room.

Ceiling fan was amazing as it was a hot weekend in Oxford. Hosts were very accommodating and allowed us to drop our bags off at reception 4 hours before check in which allowed us to explore Oxford for the day! Key pick up and drop off was seamless and so easy.
