The reception guy was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and there was a toiletries, slippers, coffee, biscuits.
Location is very good and there is shops near by.
It is a very good place for a short stay and I highly recommend it.
The pillows were not very comfortable, but this is a personal opinion. There is a smoking area in the front of the Lodge that needs some attention.

Comfortable and clean room. Very helpful staff and let me leave my car in the carpark for a couple of hours extra after I had checked out (and brought me my phone charger that I had left in the room out to the car park when I picked up the car). Great location for where I needed to be and easy to drive to without getting tangled up in Oxford City centre
Minor point was over-bath shower that wasn't very high up, but fine for a short stay.

Room was basic but looked like it had been recently refurbished and had all mod cons and enough hanging space.
There was no breakfast despite the description at booking.com I didn't mind going without it but I didn't like being misled by the description. When I pointed it out to the receptionist, I got the following responses: "What's booking.com?" "We haven't done breakfast for two years." "If you checked your confirmation e-mail you would have known."
