Excellent location in Oxford, within easy walking distance of the city centre and many restaurants and cafés. Good bus links, e-scooters available nearby. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Facilities included a TV with Netflix and YouTube, kettle with tea and coffee, wardrobe with hangers, and a hairdryer. Wi-Fi signal was great and consistent. The shower had very good water pressure. The hotel felt secure with card access, and check-in via the self-service kiosk was straightforward. Noise from other rooms was minimal. The heating was working perfectly and made the room warm up quickly.
No on-site parking and all nearby streets are permit-only. The only option is a paid car park (Balkan Lodge or Union Street car park), about a 10-minute walk away. We booked a King Room with Garden View expecting direct garden access as shown on the website, but the room was on the first floor overlooking the garden, which was disappointing. The room and bathroom were very small and felt cramped, with limited space and no fridge. Live TV channels were also glitchy. The limited space makes it more suitable for one night rather than a longer visit. I feel it was also a bit on the pricey side for what you get.

The location was good to get to Oxford
The room was dirty when we arrived. Coffee stains all up the wall. The bedding was dirty and had holes in it. Also the bathroom had not been cleaned. It was very noisy. I did email as soon as we arrived after noticing the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. unfortunately we did not arrive until the evening. So the room could not be cleaned until the day after. They did come in and correct all the issues I had stated. But it was not what I expected from a boutique hotel as they class them selves. It is a basic room with self check in and no staff. I could not fault the location. There is parking 15 minutes away.

Good location, beautifully decorated, lovely powerful shower and nice toiletries
Automated check in was difficult as no phone signal and WiFi didn’t initially work.
Room a little cramped

We had such a lovely stay here. The place is brand new, beautifully kept, and spotlessly clean, with so many thoughtful little details that really made it feel welcoming. There were three of us, and both check-in and check-out were smooth and easy.
The location is also very convenient — it’s an easy walk into town, and there’s a bus stop just outside, which made getting around really simple.
Overall, we felt very comfortable and well looked after. We truly enjoyed our time here and would recommend this place to stay in Oxford.

Close to where my daughter lives
The room was too small for twin beds. Only room for one suitcase and no floor space even to put down another one
4.0 / 10.0
Good location, close to Cowley Road and not far from city centre. Bedroom and bathroom were generally nice.
The noise levels in this property are totally unfit for an airbnb. We heard loud music, shouting, and slamming doors from inside the building all night. The front door and other individual room doors were slamming so heavily that they shook our room. Neither of us got any sleep. As we arrived, some other guests were smoking weed right outside the building's front door. We found a sticky patch on the bedsheet and the duvet cover had a large tear (both pictured). We will be expecting a refund as the room was absolutely not fit for purpose - certainly very disappointing given the £135 we paid for the night.

The location was ideal for going into the centre of Oxford. It was a lovely large room with beautiful views and really quiet at night.
The room was spotlessly clean, with modern facilities and a well equipped bathroom. Everything we needed for a short break. We would definitely come back.

Comfy bed, close to city centre by bus

The hotel was very clean and check in was straightforward.
As our room was right by the front door we experienced a lot of disruption due to it being slammed. All the doors in the hotel slam closed.

The room was nice and cosy, clean, the bed is hard however it gives you the best sleep ever, during my stay I didn’t remember falling asleep due to how comfy it was. The blind was nice too as it kept the light out of your face. Another bonus was fast responses from the owners and they messaged mid stay asking how we were settling in. Unfortunately, we could not answer due to being busy.
It’s a great place but would be better if it was closer to the city centre.

Very clean, efficient, well maintained. Great shower!
Bed’s a little too firm for me (same with pillows)

Perfect location. Fantastic check in system. Nice bathroom. Helpful staff when I contacted them via e mail.
Cobwebs on the ceiling and in ceiling light. Very small room. Would have been good to been allowed to park on the driveway.
4.0 / 10.0
It was clean. Communication was good and the staff tried to accommodate where possible.
The room was tiny for two people. The pillows were awful- very hard and dense, however on request, they were swapped for better ones by night three. We were informed ahead of arrival that the blind had been broken by the previous visitors but as we weren't in the hotel during the day it really didn't matter too much. We did have to ask for the shower head to be fixed as it wouldn't stay up high enough to shower without holding it, but it was fixed immediately. At night, when people were coming in late, doors were slamming and we could only open one small window and needed ear plugs because of the noise from the road. Eye masks are a must if you are light sensitive as the corridor light is on all night and it shines through the gap around the door. There is no onsite parking unless you ask to park just overnight and leave early and are lucky enough to find space as there is only room for three cars. Parking in the area is very difficult. We used Justpark and moved the car around the area from driveway to driveway. It's not cheap and the walk in to Oxford is around 25 minutes. It's a nice walk though if the weather is okay.

The location is very good. It's a short lovely walk into the centre. The hotel and room was very clean and well presented. Easy check in.
Only thing I would recommend to improve is having an ironing board and iron in the room.
10.0 / 10.0
Ultra clean, uncluttered modern spacious. Bright & cheery
7.0 / 10.0
As it was a particularly hot weekend (temperatures above 30 C) there was no air conditioning and the tower fan was not up to the job. A small refrigerator would have helped to keep drinks, ie water cold.
6.0 / 10.0
The beds, linen, mattresses and pillows, towels were clean and of good quality. The shower had good pressure and there was always hot water. The general standard of cleanliness was good.
The property was in just the right situation for us, as we were travelling by public transport.
In the bathroom there wasn’t a shelf for toiletries, and the size of the room was just adequate considering that we had two small rucksacks.
The instructions for booking into the property were inconclusive , as you did not mention that the booking reference number was needed.
No personality, it felt like a cash cow.

Excellent location. The garden suite has a lovely garden attached to it and the room is quite spacious. With newly updated finishes, the room was very comfortable. Definitely 10/10
Like all historic properties in the area, there is no cooling in the building. The day we visited, it was a very hot summer day. Fan was provided to make it a bit more comfy.
7.0 / 10.0
Helpful staff, easy check-in, decent location, comfy bed and clean room, kettle, telly, radio and shower worked well. Nothing fancy but all good! Decent price relative to other options
Looks a bit sketchy from outside but all nice inside.
10.0 / 10.0
The room was nicely decorated, new and had all the conveniences(like usb outlets on both sides of the bed)
A little far from town. The doors make a lot of noise when people don’t hold them.

Well furnished and equipped, in a convenient location. Great outdoors area.
Minor maintenance needed to shower head and bathroom hand basin plug.
7.0 / 10.0
Comfortable and clean property. Easy check in and out. Good location. Had everything we needed for a short stay.
Just to note it is a small property with minimal space to even put luggage.

A very nice, new place with garden view and relatively easily accessible.
Our place was not serviced at all during the 3 days we stayed there. We requested a minimum service call for replenishment of tea and coffee. They responded that they would do that, but never showed up. The unmarked drop off step from our room to the hall was unexpected and caused my husband a bad fall and minor injuries.

The room was very comfortable. This hotel was able to accommodate me last minute. The bed was comfortable and the shower closet fabulous. Easy access to the apartment too by entering your booking number into a machine. You will then receive your key card all done at the front door passage. Any problems you will have to call reception, who we’re available up to 7pm. I am sure there is an out of hours emergency number.
Please note that this is a small hotel, so if you want to stay later into the evening in Oxford the hotel can only accommodate you up to 12pm. You will not be able to leave your luggage at the hotel after this time. The hotel reception will give you details of an app to arrange for your luggage to be stored. I had to use this service, it is easy to use. The price was under £14 for two cabin luggage.
There was what appeared to be a toothache stain on the carpet near the bathroom which was not pleasant. Plus the basin is really for washing hands. So, when washing your face water gets everywhere.
There was not a hotel handbook. This is vital for emergencies and also if you have not done your research on places to go in the area. I however, did my research

I would like to give a very positive recommendation for the guest house where my daughter and I stayed during our visit to Oxford. The place is quiet and offers a high level of comfort. The self-check-in system was easy to use, and the instructions provided by the staff were clear and comprehensive. The room was clean and well-equipped with everything needed for a short stay in the town.

Needs a blackout blind in the room. Also parking needs to be looked at

Loved the location, the large bathroom with shower and separate tub and the kitchen was great to make breakfast and a few suppers too. Loved our studio flat with garden patio.
4.0 / 10.0
This is not a a hotel. There is no staff on site, and there is no interaction with any human being as part of the experience. From a hospitality point of view, it is a very chilled and unpleasant experience overall.
I felt deceived by the website.
A fridge in the room would have helped make things better, as would a Nespresso coffeemaker instead of simply instant coffee.

Lovely and quiet accommodation with a beautiful garden. Very spacious and clean, easy to communicate with staff. Right at the bus station to get to the city center.

Despite the fact that there is no staff, it was quite easy to check-in, there were very clear instructions.
The communication through email was efficient and courteous
The room, although a bit small, was very cozy, clean, quiet and comfortable.
Very good location
The bathroom ventilation was a bit too noisy and would wake the other person if asleep

Friendly, helpful landlord. Clean, cosy room. Quite neighborhood and short (10-15min) walk from center. Bus stop very close by.
9.0 / 10.0
The self-check-in experience was smooth, the rooms were clean, and the garden view was nice and quiet, so we could sleep with the window open - if that's your thing. It is also a great location with excellent restaurants and cafes nearby.
We got to the accommodation from the train station by walking a bit to the centre and taking a bus. The bus stop's very close to the accommodation. But if you've got a lot of luggage, I'd recommend taking a cab.
