Bitten by bed bugs

The central lobby and the fact that you can leave your luggage before the check in.

I got bitten by bed bugs, the only clean thing on the bed was the sheets. The pillow itself has stains, the sleeping pad underneath the sheets wasn't exactly clean and there were some type of bug/dirt and stains between the mattress and the sleeping pad. I checked out early, before the first shift of the day, so I couldn't relay this to the staff. The bathroom was also bad, only three toilets and two taps for the entire floor. The toilet itself was dirty at the bottom, there was no warm water, no space to place your things, only a small strip that fit a toothbrush and toothpaste over one of the two taps. The photo shows the bites on my arm and one of the questionable piece of dirt/ bug that I found under the sleeping pad, over the mattress.

Good location in the city, facility is nice and common area are pretty cosy, breakfast was ok, good quality price ratio (for Copenhagen so, not cheap but reasonable price)

They have earplugs on the reception deck... I really needed them because of the snoring colivers.

A typical hostel in the historical city center – don't expect it to be really clean or cosy. They event don't give you a towel without a deposit.

Disappointing

The location was very good.

Stuff was not very friendly, did not really care about me. I had a snorring neighbor in my dorm, and it was so loud I had to sleep in the lobby. There was no possibility to change rooms as the reception was closed. The next day they just said it's a pity. The breakfast (toast + coffee) was not worth the money. The hotel wants to be hip but does not really manage to. I would recommend other stays in Copenhagen (e.g. CityHub).

The reception area was really nice

Sleep in heaven is a very ironic name for a place where I had the worst sleep of my life lol. 1) there were drunk people in the corridor shouting all night long, and you hear everything so loudly as if it was happening right next to you. I woke up 5 times during 6 hours because every time the front door opens the whole floor can hear it. 2) the curtains don't provide enough shade and we didn't know that it doesn't get fully dark during the night in Denmark in June

Warm, Hospitable, Welcoming.

The family which run's this hostel, I loved their professionalism and hospitality. Breakfast was good. The stay met with my expectations and there wasn't an ounce of me feeling underwhelmed or unsafe. The owners were really kind and considerate when I needed their help when I accidentally locked myself out.

The stairs to the upper floor, unsafe and basically unusable. If you’re checking out and decide to leave you’re bag there, you need to pick it up at 6pm at latest which is not convenient

Emergency exit signs lit up the whole dorm at night making it hard to sleep. Some taps in bathroom didn't work and had to rent a towel for 25DKK

Somewhat okay

Pau was trying to make a fool out of us by saying that we were late for check in even though we were within the time limit. I can totally understand why he was doing this to someone like us. And when we asked for luggage storage, he was saying that we are supposed to submit our luggage right now(mid of night )as we'll find no one in the morning. I mean dude you are running such a big hostel and can't have someone who can help us store our luggage.

You get what you pay for

The hostel staff was very friendly and always ready to help. Check-in was quick. Overall, the room facilities were satisfactory, with each guest having their own locker that could be opened and closed using an individual card. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained.

The noise from outside, particularly from the bar, was unbearable. The soundproofing was poor, and you could clearly hear every movement from the next room. Additionally, I found long black hairs on both the pillow and blanket, which was off-putting.

It was a really nice stay, location is good, it was quite comfortable overall too.

The staff was really nice and the bathrooms were quite clean, which is super important for me. I loved the lockers inside the rooms too, it would open with the key to the room so it was very safe and great, I had never seem those type of lockers in hostels before and it was the best.

As I stayed in a 10-people room, there were stairs to my bed, sort of like a second floor to the room, and it was a bit too tight, I'm a 1,53m person and my head would actually touch the ceiling, the stairs weren't simple to climb neither, I think it's the only flaw I found in fact.

Passable

Firstly, there was an old towel left in the room from the previous guests that had forgotten to be cleaned away. Secondly, there was no light in the private room at all for the evenings, only a tiny desk light that one person could use. We had to ask a member of staff if we could take a light from the common room, which should really not have to be our job when on holiday.
