Ok for price paid

Great location, parking, friendly staff

Booked a cosy double room. For price paid it was ok but very small and my partner had no room to get down side of bed - had to climber in! I would advise pay a bit more and get a king size room

This hotel has a great combination of good sized rooms, excellent restaurant and food choices, a large bar but feeling cosy, first class service, outside seating, ideal central location and a substantial car park facility.

If your eye sight isn't what it used to be then I recommend you take a phone with a light on because the lighting in the restaurant is very low. I struggled to read the menu.

A great hotel very central

We have stayed many times at the hotel and will stay again. Its location is ideal for the shopping centre in Harrogate and the lovely Valley park. The property is comfortable warm and staff are generally helpful and friendly. Food is excellent with a good choice. Parking under cover is ideal.

We payed extra for the deluxe room as the picture showed a walk in shower. ( due to recent hip replacement) yes we got that but the shower ran only hot hot water we couldn’t cool it down so didn’t use it. We did tell reception when we were leaving.

Dated box room with a draft, poor bathroom and outside noise.

Good location and staff friendly

Room was tiny, with exposed pipes, rattling windows with very poor closure which meant the cold wind came through. Bath cold tap too stiff to turn (reported to staff), broken tiles on wall and burn stain in the middle of carpet. Noise from glass recycling first thing in the morning.

Good location, excellent dinner and really good bar.

No bottled water in bedroom. No bathrobes. We were in a room in the annexe, had to put on coats to go for breakfast,dinner and drink in main hotel.

In excellent location and a nice a hotel

The Hotel on the main was very good and very busy in the bar over the festive period, unfortunately our room was directly above the bar and with it being on the end, with duel aspect windows it was cold!. The room temperatures cannot be altered but we where supplied with an extra duvet. The food was very good and we would stay here again no problems at all.

The whole hotel needs an upgrade, the bathroom was dark, toilet didn't flush properly, bath was coming apart at the bottom as was the door. The entrance to the room door had to be slammed in order to shut it so would wake anyone around. Literally woke up to the sound of whomever was above walking around the floorboards were really squeaky. The hallway from the lifts to our room felt like you were going to fall through the floor it was very weird and the decor was so dark it was bordering depressing. I like dark decor but when there are bits that brighten it up too. It was just all dark. The entrances all need tidying up too from the car park into the reception.

The Location, facilities, cleanliness, Amazing staff- nothing to much trouble.

The only thing that I would say that needs an improvement is- not enough wardrobe hanging space. I think that a hanging space for coats- should be added to the wall as had to put our two coats over the chair- which is inconvenient. Other than that, The 60th Birthday celebration we paid for ourselves and our Friends was excellent. We were in 319. Our Friends in 320. Their room was bigger but still no coat hanging space..Beautiful hotel with so much character. I would totally recommend This Hotel to family and friends 🧡.

Hotel room was great. We had breakfast and Sunday lunch which were very good. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. Hotel was very nice. Staff were cheerful and helpful. The only negative was small parking spaces in a very busy car park

Great stay, ticked all the boxes. First time staying here and planning return soon. The location is excellent, and the welcome from the reception staff was so friendly. The room was perfect in every way and so quiet and comfortable. The attached pub - The Fat Badger - is excellent, with food, drink and service very good. Also the breakfast was superb.

Excellent, central location. Very spacious apartment with balcony. Well stocked refreshment trays in kitchen and both bedrooms

No bathrobes, despite our booking confirmation and hotel website stating these were included. When we called reception they advised that these are only available in a super-deluxe room. The website, therefore, needs to be updated. Only one key card provided, but in order to access each bedroom and lounge you needed to use the key card. We had to prop the bedroom doors open overnight in case one of us couldn't get back in.
