Very easy to find, lovely building, so clean, comfortable and very warm, with the added benefit of parking round the back (max five cars) or if that’s full a parking permit is available to use at the side of the property. Staff were extremely polite, the communication with the owners before we arrived was clear and precise and the choice at breakfast was incredible.

An enjoyable stay.

Fountains is clean and warm, and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The shower was excellent; the bed comfortable. It was quiet - we had a good night's sleep. It's very well situated for the town centre - it only took us 10 minutes to reach the Harrogate Theatre, & it's practically next door to the conference centre. We also appreciated being able to park in the Fountain's own car park.

We were on the 2nd floor & as others have said, there are a lot of stairs to climb. We were travelling light but it would be difficult with heavy luggage. There is an offer of assistance though. We didn't really meet the proprietors. We had a problem getting into our room but we sorted it eventually. A small point - a hook on the back of the bathroom door would be so useful - there is nowhere to hang anything when showering.

Comfortable, Great Location, Vslue for money, A+

Fountains Guest House is a fantastic place to stay. We only stayed one night but we both agreed probably one of the best guest houses/ hotels we have ever stayed at. Room was spotless and comfy, shower superb. Breakfast was very good and ample. The staff serving and in the kitchen were really good and helpful. At first when we saw the keyless entry system with no manned reception we were hesitant, but it proved to be a great idea and very secure. There was also car parking which was a bonus. When coming to Harrogate again we will definitely stay here. Highly Recommended.

A great weekend break in Harrogate!

Great location near the centre, but still quiet. Clear information prior to stay. Room clean and as requested. Staff helpful, courteous and polite.

Carparking only held 4-5 cars, but streetparking nearby was fine - just need to remember to use the parking permit left in the hall table. Breakfast was good but variety a little limited - e.g. no fresh fruit or pastries. But the cereal/granola and cooked breakfast was superb.

Everything about our stay was excellent and at breakfast the staff were brill you couldn't ask for anything and the service was with a smile would definitely recommend our stay and would certainly book again when in the area would it be possible to book 2 double rooms for the 28th of February please

A warm and comfortable Harrogate January stay with an excellent breakfast- great value

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Really helpful communication about access and recommendations for supper. Excellent breakfast using local fresh produce. Also, a good selection of drinks and biscuits in the room - with fresh milk :) A useful communal room - ideal for board games. Great value.

Stairs could be an issue for anyone with limited mobility otherwise no issues

Lovely building, breakfast overflow / sitting area had a calm ambience to sit and read or play board game in. Bedrooms were clean and excellent bathroom / hot shower. Breakfast was great! Extra umbrellas in hallway were a good addition too.

Perfect for a comfy, short break in Harrogate

Attention to detail! Comfortable bed, modern en-suite facilities, great tea, coffee and biscuit offering, quality toiletries and the room was wonderfully warm on a cold night. Breakfast was good quality and the waitress/ chef was friendly.

Harrogate is a beautiful place and would happily visit again and stay at The Fountains.

Great little place to stay with free parking and great breakfast!

Very quick to answer any queries. Free parking and free breakfast. The breakfast was really good, especially the poached eggs! Yum! Great tea/coffee selection and welcome tray, that was replenished daily. Fresh milk was also available.

Although the room was a good size and relatively clean, there was some old dust, especially on the towel rail and the rim of the shower. A full length mirror would be a useful addition as you can only see the top half of your body.

A lovely relaxing break.

Fountains guest house was perfectly located for the town centre. Our room was very clean and comfortable. A lovely bathroom with a powerful shower. We enjoyed the tea and biscuits in evening after a day of exploring. An excellent breakfast set us up for the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this guest house.

Great location in a clean, comfortable and well managed hotel

The location was excellent, close to the town centre and lots of pubs and restaurant choices. Parking spaces were limited on site but there was plenty of alternative spaces available on the street with parking permits available to use. The daily breakfast was very good, well cooked and presented, with a vegetarian choice and all served freshly made by very friendly, competent staff. Highly recommend.
