The perfect hotel for a visit to Grenoble.

Just a couple of details, but they don't lower the rating: the bed pillows are too bulky for my taste (but maybe there are people who think otherwise). Comment only applicable to electric vehicles: the application to charge my car in the parking lot that is nearby and with which the hotel has an agreement, did not work for me, in fact I think it is only applicable for local users, since you need a physical card that is sent to your home. There should be a universal charging seasonality, that simply works with a credit card. But these are comments in a positive key, not a complaint.

Nice hotel - especially if you get the upgraded room

The upgraded suite that one of us got was phenomenal, with a conference table and Olympics posters. We called in the "Bond villain layer" b/c it had that vibe (this is a good thing - it was cool!). Hotel has some parking right in front which was super convenient once we figured it out.

Less central to the tourist areas of Grenoble. The basic rooms were quite small (but nicely appointed)

This hotel is not deserving of the MGallery brand.

The rooms were decently sized and well appointed. The bed was comfy. The location is a 20 minute walk from old Grenoble, but there is a convenient tram around the corner.

To put my review in context, I’ve stayed at many 4-star hotels throughout France and the world for business and pleasure travel. I would rank the Park Hotel as a 3-star hotel at best. While some of the staff were friendly and fluent in English, there were some that looked absolutely terrified when you spoke to them. There was a young girl at the front desk, another girl at breakfast (who did nothing but stand around) and another at the bar who did not seem to speak English, or they were at least terrified to do so. The breakfast was quite disappointing. First, there was a lack of fresh fruit. Fresh fruit does not mean throwing a few bananas, grapes, and apples into a bowl. Some fresh cut fruit (kiwis, oranges, grapefruits, berries) would add a lot to the breakfast (fresh, not canned!). There was apple sauce provided in microscopic dishes, and a strange fruit salad that tasted from a can. The pastries were decent enough. The cereal station was sad, and the bacon and sausages looked overheated from the day before. Overall, the appearance of the buffet was poor and spread all over the place with items in a refrigerator, pastries on a low table, and cereals hidden on a cart in the corner. The lobby was dated with dark interior and too many mirrors to deceive of a larger space. They charged me for one too many breakfasts, which I didn’t notice until leaving. The safe in the room is too small for most laptops, so beware. Overall, I would say the rooms are decent but I was put off by the breakfast and the staff English. I’ve stayed at the MGallery hotel in Rennes, which was far better than this one in Grenoble. This hotel is not deserving of the MGallery brand.

Quick visit to Grenoble

The room was very nice, with double balcony doors so quiet even though it’s on a noisy street. Staff at the desk very friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar, there didn’t appear to be much close by, but the bar food was very nice. A short walk to the old city centre and entrance to the hike up to the Basilica with amazing views of town.

Parking is the usual issue, none at the hotel, some on the street outside, but having been warned about break-ins we requested secure parking which was a 200m walk away and our car was fine there. Just bit of a juggle sorting out your bags when there’s no parking nearby.

spacious suite (328). hotel front parking. next to a park for easy dog walking. dog friendly establishment. great bar. good room service, bulk clarin toiletries are eco friendly and good quality, courteous service overall. toilet and wardrobe sensor lighting is convenient.

paid pet fee does not include any pet amenities such as dog bowl, treats or bed/blanket. shower stall is old, cheap, slippery with rusted edges; splashing water after each shower due to narrow door. wash basin needs better maintenance ( crack filling is not pretty). street noise was blocked but noise from above 328 started 8 something in the morning until 9 something.
