I need to follow a diet low in saturated fats, and crave fresh fruit, scrambled egs and gramola, but not much besides bread and jam and croisants was avaliable. However the manager for our vist was a guy who is so personable and eager to help us find our way around Grenoble, which made our visit very enjoyable. The LUX is an older building and the rooms are a little small, but for the money, it was a fair deal. It was quieter than a comparable we had a few days earlier the window and metal shutters can be adjusted to screen out most street sounds while allowing in cooler evening air, or shut completely if it gets chilly
The lift for our overstuffed luggage was great! The location is quite good, only a 6 minute walk from the train and bus transport hub. We enjoyed great day trips to Moiron by train, and Chamrousse by bus!
Breakfast offerings were very limited for guests looking to minimize saturated fats.
