Lovely rooms, it’s an old building so the rooms have plenty of character.
Our room was quite warm even with a fan on and the window open.

The property was traditionally English. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, everything was perfect. It was our Anniversary and flowers and a card were left in room. Our table in the restaurant was adorned with decoration and we were treated to a white chocolate and strawberry Happy Anniversary plate with our dessert. All staff were extremely personable, professional and nothing was too much trouble. They all had great personal skill. I wouldn’t hesitate staying at the George Hotel again and recommending it to family and friends.
There was nothing of any significance. Perhaps a small fridge and safe deposit box in the room would have been ideal.
