A nice place for a relaxing weekend.

Full english breakfast was good with a choice of buffet from cereals to croissant. Room was light clean and fresh with tea and coffee. Location is perfect for walking to shops, restaurants, Bars, Hiking or off road biking. A short drive from Southampton and Bournemouth.

There was no bar for a night cap. But thankfully there is a Tesco Express close by.

Relaxing and great

The breakfast was very nice, with a choice of cereals, Yogurt, croissants and then a cooked breakfast. Room was clean, towels were fresh, tea and coffee, with a small packet of biscuits. Location was great, not far to walk into town (5 minutes), with pubs, restaurants and shops.

We were on the top floor, stairs are very narrow and steep. The shower was small and the room although small could do with a chair, but was adequate for our visit.

Food was excellent so much for breakfast it was unbelievable

THe cottage with 3 rooms is very convenient. Comfy bedrooms, good size lounge and kitchen

Twixmas weekend away

Convenient location for a visit to the New Forest. Room clean and comfortable. Easy check in and room was ready ahead of expected time. Heating efficient and additional heater and fans supplied but not needed..Price paid Included a lovely cooked breakfast and good selection of cereals and fruit juice.

With teas and coffee selection maybe have a decaffeinated tea or herbal tea option and maybe a couple of extra milks as we found 6 little milks just enough for a tea and coffee each .

lovely relaxing Xmas break.

we stayed in one of the apartments. Lovely big rooms well equipped kitchen , comfy beds big TV. Parking right outside the apartment. really easy for my disabled mum to get around.

Handrail by the side of the toilet as low for mum to get off! non slip mat in the bath. Mum didn't have a shower as scared of slipping and it was slippy!! Again maybe a handrail to get up the steps. otherwise no complaints of any susbstance.

Our recent stay at the Penny Farthing Hotel

Location was good. The staff were friendly. Room size was good. The breakfast was ok.

The mattress was awful. We both had a very bad sleep and suffered back aches each mornings upon waking. The pillows were flat and lumpy. The quilt was not wide enough so it was a battle to keep covered during the night. On arrival the hotel was so hot, to the extent we had all of the windows open all day and night and this was December. The toilet seat was loose.

The tiny bed and bunged up bath spoiled the overall experience.

We were in the Triumph room, and it is a huge room. The breakfast ingredients are locally sourced and delicious.

For a huge room it had a bed the size of a postage stamp, cheap, nasty metal bed frame affair that sounded like 10 squeaky wheels! The drain in the bath was blocked, and the water was extremely slow to drain, so the great shower would slowly turn into a cold bath as the shower progressed!
