Pool was great, breakfast very good, staff friendly.

There was a slight problem with speed of delivery of supper due to christmas parties. There was also a small piece of plastic in a pizza. However overall the food was tasty.

The bar area didn’t have a comfortable seating area as it doubled up as overspill of restaurant for people with dogs. If you are staying with dogs you can’t sit in the restaurant which is acceptable but the breakfast is set up in the restaurant so you have to walk back and forward to get food and drinks. A small buffet could be set up in the bar area. The hotel rooms are not serviced unless requested during your stay. I feel these are one of the luxury treats of staying in a hotel, not having to make your bed etc. but also practical things like not having fresh cups for tea/ coffee water glasses, replacing toilet roll etc. all if this has to be requested daily as and when needed. I feel this takes away from the little touches of being catered for while on a break. The hotel felt a bit tired we had an issue with the bath tap being broken so my husband was not able to have a bath. The staff did respond quickly to try to fix this. The shower also didn’t work properly, it wasn’t possible to switch between the over head and the hand held so there was water coming out of both heads at the same time resulting in a low pressure shower We were staying with a young baby and were up two flights of stairs with no lift and nowhere to store a buggy so this had to be left in the car.

The layout has nice features like a doggy diner, cellar with large screen tv, nice pool, four poster bed and a comprehensive dining menu.

Being in the Forest, there's cause for trafficked dirt, some of this was evident on light-coloured carpets. The venue could be closer for travel convenience. More disabled parking bays would be great.

Room very comfortable, the only issue was the shower it had hardly any water preasure best using the shower in the pool area. The breakfast very good as usual and the pool is a great feature.

Only problem was the noise when trying to sleep with the refrigeration unit for the bar outside window emitted constant hum which seemed louder at night.

No room service for the 4 night stay. Advertised on booking breakfast included. Yes it was but continental breakfast, very misleading. Very poor food menus.

Lovely location, great staff and a good sized room and facilities were great. A quiet location and slept well. For the new forest it was a good price. Breakfast was excellent.

Mattress a little soft and could feel the springs.

Room was dark, not much natural light, bunk bed was not stable or suitable for young children, the ladder fell off in the middle of the night, swimming pool had no real changing rooms or machine to dry your wet swimming clothes. Breakfast was way overpriced for the quality of the food.

Great location, lovely staff, really comfortable room with comfy bed and cracking breakfast

Nothing was pretty much perfect

The bedroom itself was good however there was no AC and window did not open so in hot weather could be a problem. The pool was a good size and open late. Breakfast was good.

The bathroom was in dire need of refurbishing. Also the restaurant was more like a cafe, no atmosphere at all and bog-standard food, such as burgers etc. So we ate out all the time. Also no lift so had to lug luggage up steep stairs.

The Staff were lovely and helpful. The Hotel was in a good location.

Wasn't clear on booking that Breakfast was only Continental, unless you paid even more. Room was small, but comfortable. Bathroom was small and really needed updating. Water pressure was very poor. Bath was stained and extractor fan was full of dust. The Swimming Pool was supposed to be for Hotel Guests only, but there were swimming lessons being held in it when we used it.

The location is excellent. The staff were very helpful & friendly.

The rooms are very tired & could do with a refresh, the bathroom is very dated & shower was not great

The breakfast room was lovely, very clean and efficiently run by the pleasant staff. Reception staff were always cheerful and helpful with any enquiries. As we were staying for 10 days we asked for another easy chair in our room and this was provided very promptly.

The bathroom was looking tired and the paint at the bottom of the door was coming off. The paintwork on the door could do with a good clean.

Dog friendly hotel close to centre of New Forest. Excellent pub for meals just a few minutes walk from hotel

Incredible stay, only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend here!
