Booking.com is bad. I made a last minute reservation for Oct 3-4 due to a train strike that left us in Florence for the night and somehow when I got to the hotel my reservation was changed to Oct 13-14. So not only did I have to pay for the 13-14 stay but also had to pay for the oct 3-4 stay. Booking .com has not refunded the oct 13-014 stay that I had pre-paid and does not seem to be pursuing it with the hotel. Booking.com says its a Novotel decision and Novotel says its a Booking.com decision. I will NEVER use Booking.com again!

Wish it would've been longer and that we would've found it earlier. Felt very at home!

I loved that they gave us vouchers to eat breakfast at the local cafe next door. The coffee and pastries were delicious. The location was perfect, central to everything and right across the opera. The host Cristiana was such a wonderful host. We were staying at an airbnb 7 min away but due to our heavy luggage and the stoned streets and steps along with a rainy day we opted for a taxi to check in to this property. However there were no taxis available on the taxi app when we checked out of the other property and Cristiana was kind enough to order one for us from a local cab company since we didn't speak Italian. She also allowed us to drop off our bags before Check In so we can keep exploring the city. They offered complimentary snacks and water at the lobby. It was overall such a great experience. I felt very taken care of.

I didn't understand the elevator. I think you had to pay with specific coins that we didn't have, so we couldn't use it to carry our luggages up and down. I should've asked but at the time the host wasn't available. I'd say that was more of our fault for not calling to ask. And it was only two flights so not too terrible. We traveled with more than we should have.

A nice night at the Novotel Firenze Nord Airport

I spent one night at the Novotel Firenze Nord Airport. Check in was nice due to very professional and friendly Staff. Overall good experience as the Hotel is well located close to the Airport and offer all necessary service for a Family with a small dog.

Sofa bed pretty uncomfortable unfortunately. All the rest was pretty good - with welcome water, coffee and slippers

I had an early flight, but receptionist went above and beyond by offering a to go bag of breakfast which was waiting for me at 5 am when I checked out.

Not worth the money.

Less than 10 min by cab from the airport so convenient if traveling early.

The rooms are in dire need of renovation. The bathroom was especially run down. The fixed 30-euro fare for the 7-min taxi ride is an absolute rip-off. The restaurant looked nice and the staff were polite and friendly but the food was mediocre and there was a 40-sec jazz piece playing on loop for the entire evening. The front desk staff at check in was very nice but their colleagues on duty in the early morning hours were very rude - I was woken up by phone 40 min before my taxi ride even though I did not request a wake-up call, and I was getting calls that my taxi had arrived already 10 min before the scheduled time. I hope I never get stuck at Florence airport again, and if I go, I will not stay here.

Close to the airport, but the hotel needs updating and staff trained for Customer Service

It was very close to the airport for our early morning flight.

When we checked in, the air conditioning was NOT working in the room. We went down to the desk because our Italian is not good and their understanding of English was not good. We were told an engineer would come up to the room. 40 minutes later, we went back down to the desk because no one had come. We were assured someone was coming up. After another 30 minutes, We went back down to the desk to find out what was going on. Then immediately an engineer came up to the room. Worked on the system for about 40 minutes. Said he would have to come back. He came and went several times. Replaced the thermostat, then stated he would have to replace the key holder at the door. We went back down to the desk and demanded a new room because it had not been fixed, and we were told that it would only be another hour. I refused and told them to move my room immediately. I was told it was at full capacity for the night. I demanded a room that someone had not checked into yet and re-issue our room when it was fixed. I got push back. The clerk told me he had another room but it did not have a shower. I told him that was UNACCEPTABLE !! I would not pay for a room that I did not reserve and I reserved a room with a shower. He then put us in another room across the hall from our original room with a lot of fuss. I had asked for a taxi pick up at 4:15 am Friday June 6. When we arrived down the next morning at 4:15 - I was told we had no taxi. Apparently, my request did not get moved from the original room I was in to the second room number. However, the woman at the Desk basically yelled at me that it was NOT her fault. The accommodations were NOT worth the money and the service was less than acceptable.

Not much, pretty ugly and old.

Lobby area smelled like smoke. Our hallway was old and flickering lights. Our room was not better than I would expect in a 2 star hotel. No toiletries, room light didnt work, ac didnt work. It felt pretty much like a bad hostel. Not worth more than 30-40€ per night. If that was the price, I‘d say its appropriate.

we arrived late on our first evening and all that was available to eat was toast. However, when it arrived it was ham and cheese toasted sandwiches which were brilliant!! Parking was brilliant and your staff were very helpful and I could use my Blue Badge!

The menu for dinner on the second evening was very limited and seemed quite basic - we were expecting a better choice do were rather disappointed! Not even a pizza option!!!

Water leaks from the bathroom sink and toilet. No place in the shower area to put own toiletries. You have to go out of the shower to reach for soap etc. Aircon cannot be adjusted, it was too hot.

Passable

I could get an early check-in. There are a lot of space in the superior rooms. Good options for breakfast. Wifi is good. Rituals toiletteries in the bathroom. Cleaning and fresh towels every day.

Our rooms were exteremely noisy, as we got rooms on the top floor, where you can hear the resonating sound of the ventillators located on the roof. Difficult to reach the city center and get back with public transportation (only 1 bus/hour in the evenings). No option for pre-ordering a taxi for a selected time, hard to calculate your arrival to your destination (we had to wait a lot for taxis). We had to pay for one bottle of water from the minibar, altought it was said on the website that it is free on arrival.

Will not recommend for people traveling with public transport.

Same menu every day for breakfast, its boring. They should have some change. Room size was okay but not enough for 3 person. Public transport is not good to travel to this facility. Its good for people having own car, would not recommend for people traveling with public transport. Hotel should arrange shuttle service to nearest train station.

Disappointing

No air conditioner in the room with the excuse that it was nice and cool outside. But really not comfortable inside with the only option to open the windows and hear the noise from the street the whole night. No reason for not having air conditioner in the rooms at least on a reasonable manner.

Close to the train station and easy to get to the city centre. Nice, big room, froendly stuff, very good breakgast
