A comfortable and enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting

The room was very nice, clean, and spacious. The location of the property is excellent, especially the beautiful view from the balcony. Breakfast was really good, and the restaurant food was also very delicious. The property is very dog-friendly, which we really appreciated.

Very disappointed and it should not be called a Hotel which is totally misleading

Nothing really. There was no receptionist. There was a pack of cigarettes and an ashtray full of half smoked cigarettes on a table on the balcony of what was supposed to be a non smoking room. The room we eventually accepted was comfortable and clean

The so called Hotel is like a ghost town. There was no receptionist , merely a phone and instructions to dial 35 for immediate attention - we gave up after an hour. The property is unwelcoming and in the middle of nowhere.

Lovely traditional hotel in stunning location.

Amazing room in beautiful traditional style chalet with stunning views. Food was good and staff were friendly.

Several details overlooked, such as no tea and coffee in room as stated, not even when we asked for them, soap in bathroom was empty, no extra pillows in wardrobe as stated. We weren't shown to room, or told where restaurant was. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Lovely hotel in a gorgeous setting.

Lovely spacious rooms with incredible views. The hosts did their best to accommodate us when the hot water didn’t work in our room and it was over the weekend. The restaurant was very good and our waiter friendly and helpful. We regretted the weather was awful, except one day, because we would’ve liked to explore the hikes in the area.

No wifi. We understand the problems getting it up that far, though. Our cell service was good, but international travelers should have good data. The hotel is a bit far from town when the restaurant is closed. The apartment was lovely, but our family members who stayed there said they really needed at least one more pot to cook.

View was amazing, cosy atmosphere, tasty breakfast (but the selection could be bigger). Room was spacious and we have ground floor terrace for ourselves. They have few types of saunas. We really liked the place.

The only one thing I didn't like was bed. For me too hard, but for my partner it was fine.

It was a shame that the restaurant was not open for our first night. We knew it wasn't going to be. We had to venture out in the rain on our motorcycles to find food.

Clean, spacious room. Spectacular view. Peaceful location away from the city centre (for us it was an an advantage).

During busy hours of the hotel restaurant the hotel parking was fully packed and we had to park elsewhere (further up the hill).

The view from our room was just breathtaking and HUGE! It looked like a studio apartment. Definitely worth the couple of days we spent here. Such a lovely hotel and good food as well.

Beautiful place with hidden charges

Beautiful views, great location, friendly and helpful staff. On-site restaurant.

The hidden cost of heating expense per person per day. Breakfast cost was not included, but wasn’t known until check out time. Restaurant was expensive for what you received. At check out we received a bill of 700 Euro over and above what we prepaid for the room. A lot of extra charges not known at the time of booking

Ideal location for hiking and relaxation. Spacious room with fabulous view of mountains and rolling green valley. Competent, efficient and personable staff. The hotel's restaurant is a reliable source for hearty delicious meals.

We're coming back!

I enjoyed the location and lovely interior design and decoration. Glad they have rooms without carpet, the rooms are hygienic and very clean. Sauna and massage offers on site, pool currently being renovated. Superb restaurant in the hotel! Staff was personable, attentive and friendly. They have wonderful pillows and blankets on the beds and the bathroom is well equipped with good quality shower gel, body lotion etc. I particularly liked all the different cabinets, wall-shelves and storage spaces - animates to unpack, sort your things away and stay longer!

Parking lot is feeling a little cramped and the mattresses were on the hard side for lighter people. But wow, that's complaining on a sky-high level!

Brief but enjoyable break. Possibly a bit over priced for what it is but the view makes up for that.

Lovely room, more like a suite. View on opening the window in the morning was a highlight of our break. Staff really helpful and breakfast was excellent.

Arrived early evening but disappointed to find no restaurant or even a bar open. Just a vending machine selling beer, wine & cold drinks. Thankfully, one of the staff could change notes into coins.

Amazing Stay

Probably one of the more beautiful hotels and locations we have been in, sometimes it felt more like a museum or a relic from past Bavarian life. Located on higher ground and overlooking the valley where the city of Bad Reichenhall is located it has a beautiful view from the terrace and one can just enjoy sitting there, breathing in the mountain air and relaxing. It is recommended to come by car, or if you have money to spare – a taxi, especially if you cannot comfortably go long distances on foot. The hotel is far from the city center and on foot it took us about 30-40 minutes at an acceptable pace. Personally, we walked most of the time to and from the city and only used a taxi 3 times. This suited us more as we really enjoyed walking through the beautiful woods, pastoral scenery and streets. If you do plan to be mostly walking, be mindful of returning before sundown or you will be walking in the dark most of the way. If you stay at the hotel, you absolutely must not miss eating dinner at the restaurant, the price range is acceptable for the different meals, and the food is amazing! Be sure to first ask the staff about the opening hours, and let them know you intend to come in. The staff is very nice and helpful! We arrived too early for check-in and wanted to store our luggage in the meantime, but the staff first checked if it was possible that the room was already available, and seeing that it was, they offered to let us check-in earlier, which we really appreciated! The staff also helped us find a medical center for us to have a PCR-test before our departure, and made sure the results would be in English before directing us to it. The room was very clean and very accommodating. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

The breakfast had relatively few choices but it is still filling and delicious .

Great relaxing place to stay

The view is really fantastic from the rooms and restaurant. The restaurant is really of the highest quality - definitely a reason to stay on its own. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable with wonderful pine cabinetry, furniture. Super helpful and friendly staff

The staff was really nice and helpful and the breakfast was quite tasty. The view from our room was brilliant and overall it was quite a pleasant experience.

The Parking lot is quite tight if you're driving a long car (like a mid-size Executive Saloon car or a SUV). The bathroom is a bit tight for some.

秋のシーズンも終わりに近く、宿泊客は私たち2組以外には1組だけだったような感じだった。そのためか、宿としてはほぼ休眠期に入っていて、レストランが主体に動いていた。とにかくスタッフが少なかった。ホテルとしてのグルーミング用のアメニティーがもう少し充実すると満点だ。
