All fine - and reccomended - except the half-board meal (=avoid)

Great Location and a wonderful large room for our family (2+2), the breakfast was also very pleasant and the staff all helpful

Frankly the food from the "half board" was decidely average...a nice steak, but really too rare (edging on blue, and stone cold) accompanied by a cold sauce and massively overcooked veg. You'd like the Sud-Tirol red? sorry its out - as is the icecream pud from the menu A pity as the rest of the stay was perfect.

Enjoying the alps with family and dog

The location. The size of the superior suite. The breakfast. The pet friendliness. The restaurant. The bar.

The bed sofa. Extremely uncomfortable. Like sleeping on the floor. One expects better quality in a superior suite. Anyway, thanks to the very friendly staff, they brought us a mobile bed and my kids could enjoy a relaxing time.

Lovely hotel but could do better in some aspects of how it’s managed.

Great location in the middle of town. Comfortable apartment room with balcony overlooking the mountains. Nice breakfast. Good secure underground parking garage for our motorcycle.

Expensive for what it was but that is Switzerland. We chose the full board option for convenience but on two consecutive nights over the weekend we had the same set menu. The food was very good but little choice. The room was very warm and no aircon.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Great view! The swimming pool was nice too.

The restaurants are quite small considering the size of the hotel. Ot was difficult to find a table at breakfast. Also the half board menu for dinner was very poor in terms of choice and quality. It would be good to have at least 2 spare pillows in the room!

Great option to stay when visit Engelberg

The room was spacious, yet the shower was rather basic. The breakfast was tasty however the dishes were the same every day

Location, staff, breakfast and spa were great.

A couple of teething problems when we arrived were resolved and the staff went over and above to make up for it. Huge room with views over the mountains, the breakfast was great and the spa was lovely. Rained all the time, but that's not the hotel's fault!

A very enjoyable stay

The property was centrally located and close to the railway station, shops and restaurants. It was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful

The restaurant and bar were obviously short staffed in the evening as the same small number of staff were having to manage both. This meant that there were long waits to get served drinks at the bar and some people just gave up waiting.

Very nice and hope to return.

The manager who checked us in was most helpful and ensured we did not have to change rooms between our two bookings for adjacent nights. The view was very nice. The sofa bed in the living room was wide and comfortable for our son. The apartment had plenty of shelving and hanging space.

The swimming pool was OK, provided one swims outside busy hours.

Some staff are not friendly at all. There is an Afghan member staff and Singh Member staff was very helpful and polite but other local swiss member staff was not very helpful and a bit rude.

Relaxing getaway at the heart of Engelberg with great staff and spa

Location of hotel is at the heart of Engelberg not far from the train station Staff are very helpful Rooms were comfortable Breakfast was very good with high quality products SPA area is very modern and nice Good storage for bikes in garage We will definitely come back

Alarm went off on our floor twice largely due to some foreign guest opening the external doors in the floor. It could make sense to add warnings in other languages like Chinese to minimise this issue.

Beautiful location. Decent hotel. Balcony a bonus. Served our purpose for a night well.

Breakfast ok but could have had a little more variety.

We were promised a dog bed but didn’t materialise. Many coach trips and two lifts not enough when on 6th floor. No gear or coffee facilities in room. I think that’s a little poor for a 4 star hotel.

Room in bad condition. Bathroom in 114 had makeshift wall repairs done with a 2min putty job instead of anything professional. Clearly hotel is in cost savings mode. Dinner options not well-advertised…Titlis restaurant is only for groups but that isn’t advertised at all.

Not a 4 star hotel 2 star maximum and wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking a 4 star hotel

The location and the staff's are very kind to let us check in at an early arrival and let us used the garage even after our check out.

First of all we've never ever been so disappointed on booking.com hotels. But with this it was really not the standard of a 4 star hotel. 2 star Yes but not 4. The room has no cafe machine nor to make tea. No refrigerator or bar. The table has a stain on it. The bathroom, the shower, the water don't fonction correctly water comes out on the middle of the shower which looks like a hose. The pool, water was cold. The sauna the other one was cold and the other one 45degrees.

refrigerator was broken, there was no replacement. pool with cold water, we could not enjoy the spa as we intended. the hot tub was an expensive, paid-for amenity.

Our room was also allocated to someone else so two people came into our room when we were in there. Also the corridors were very noisy at night, going into early hours. The Spa was booked by a private group most of the time we were there so couldnt be used.

Superb

Breakfast was super. A lot of different food to choose for adults and kids. Also the pool was rather big and nice. The staff was always friendly. The location of the hotel is super convenient. It is 5 minutes walk to train station, 15 minutes walk to mountains, 2 minutes walk to a supermarket and restaurants.

There is also a restaurant in the hotel. We had dinner there but we didn't like it very much. We were a little bit confused about naked spa zone. We didn't expect that because we were with a small child but children under 16 are not allowed to visit this zone.

great view from the deluxe double rooms on the 8th floor, good location

the bathroom wasn’t very clean, the towels were dirty too and had long dark hair on it, the soap was almost empty when we arrived, dirt and food under the bed (unopened peanuts, not just crumbs) obviously they just didn’t look or clean under the bed, the hotel parking is small and the parking spots are very tight, and they’re pricy too. breakfast was okay but the restaurant is way too small and it gets very crowded and hectic, staff is mostly unfriendly and not welcoming at all, checking in was very messy, the guy at the reception barely said anything to us, we only got one key card for a deluxe double room for 2 people and he barely even knew what i had to fill out on the papers he gave me.

Disappointing

Poorly qualified staff. We had to stay for 3 days to solve the problem with the heating system. Only one card is offered for the apartment (4 people), but you cannot go up to the elevator without the card.
